A Thrift Haul ‘Me Day’ /A Garden Overhaul and a Delicious Pasta Salad

Nanny starts her week off with a Tuesday ‘ME DAY’ and her favorite ‘car breakfast’….then heads off for a fun day of THRIFTING. On Thursday Matthew came over to the cottage and did a great much-needed GARDEN OVERHAUL. She finishes off the week on Friday making her family fave requested PASTA SALAD for the grandkids to enjoy all weekend! Join her! ❤️

Thanks for your week adventure. I just flew back from Ohio. My daughter had alot of plans for fun and I certainly had alot of fun. Riding on the back of scooters , the back of my grandsons Harley, thrifting, art festival, a Monet art show. So different and fun. Beautiful country where she lives. So so hot here in West Texas, it's a real chore to come up with something to cook/fix for meals. Hadn't even thought of pasta salad - I have several I can make similar to yours. Thanks for the idea! My vacation in the NM mountains was kind of lame because I had to stay on the phone with Mom who just got out of the hospital, insurance, rehab, hospitals, etc. Trying to get her into rehab facility to rebuild lost muscle tone. They should have never sent her home by herself! Anyway hopefully she'll get in next week. At least it was cooler, highs in the 70s ❤ Have a terrific weekend and thanks for another great video. Loved your video, made me remember my shopplng treks before we moved, always stopped and bought a hash brown and dr pepper on my way . bad news on my chickens, a raccoon killed two , got in the pen and pulled some staples out... then my son put a live strap out caught a skunk thatnkfully not close to the pen, he took care of that, I set the camera up near the pen and saw the raccoon. I got a fabulous fanny pack from Target - all RFID inside - protects credit cards and key fobs. I love it because it is hands free - I don't carry much and it's perfect for traveling with lock zipper pulls and a lock on the belt.. Because of you I bought some stuff to plant this year and am starting a small garden on my back deck. Hubby built a standing 4ft planter. I don’t like Luke warm coffee but got very used to drinking it when I was working ,seeing patients in hospitals ,so most of the time by the time you were able to drink it ,it was mostly Luke warm ,but we had an ice machine and so I used always throw crushed ice in and some canned cream and pretend it was a proper iced coffee.You can kid your brain into accepting most things .💕

The food that I have is supposed to take care of bugs, and everything all in one. However I noticed bugs on one of my plants. I have a pair of orioles who come to the hummingbird feeders. I made a huge pasta salad last week. Similar to yours. I gave part to my son so he had lunch for two days. What do you serve with yours? I just had crackers. We celebrated with a quiet little early supper of Shrimp Tacos, beans and rice and Virgin blood Mary’s with avocados and shrimp,in them! I went out to a special place that makes these and I brought them home. We have 2 more little outings we want to do this week also…the children have given us gift cards to several different restaurants and we want to go to Red Lobster’s Early Bird 4pm dinner time sometime this week…not too crowded during the week and easier for Moosie to navigate. About shoulder bags that are light to carry I also have been looking for something light so to just carry my wallet, keys, just basics and happened to find one online in a product called V-a--l-c--h-e-n. ( I write it this way so they don't delete my post) Its more a plain black canvas over your shoulder security type pouch.Sometimes if I just go in and out of stores, this seems to be the safest and lightest of all to wear.Its unisex so your Moose may like something like this as well.God Bless!🌸

I also was an Ambassador for Vogue Patterns in Scotland when we lived there in the late 60’s and early 70’s….talking to and helping ladies with fabrics, fashion design, etc. in the large DDEPARTMENT STORES in their Fabric departments…Sewing was a pretty big thing in those days and I love it and have sewn since I was a young girl. I think it’s called Vibely…Patti…it has 2 wands …one for volume and one for length…I love it and it;s under $10..Amazon.prime
