I believe that you can unlock the full port if you mess with some files, the guides are everywhere. I'm saying it just in case since I'm sure that you know about this by now.

I don't recall the flickering or audio issues during my playthrough on PC (this was 2017 when I played it). As for the sound, it could be how CryEngine handled the sound compared to whatever they were using on the original.

I found something weird with the lighting - if I went into the TimeSplitters 2 levels from the Homefront arcade machine I'd get the strange lighting, but if I went into the TimeSplitters 2 levels from the game's extras menu, it wouldn't have the flickering. I guess it has something to do with the way the engine initialises lighting once you've loaded the main game.

I remember constantly checking Xboxs website about compatibility to see if they'd made the 360 able to play timesplitters 2

Man I still check up every so often to see if there's a proper PC port on the way. It's not looking massively unlikely at this point though - there was some news a few months ago that sort of vaguely suggested some TimeSplitters stuff being in development.

Crytek are so damn stupid. Should we make a sequel to a generic game no one really cared that much about (Homefront)? Or revive a classic series of games that people loved and would fit well with other modern day shooters like Overwatch which are highly stylized and have a large cast of unique characters? Lets go with Homefront. Guess that's why they shut down.

aww... that ending was genuinely sad :( this Timesplitters (never played it! :-o) IP hell reminds me of another (a favourite game of mine): Freespace. with the marked distinction that even if the original devs got their hands on it, probably nothing would come out of it (or maybe only a reboot or spinoff or something) because the modders made so many "sequels" that the devs would feel kinda bad to "decanonize" all of them (and iirc a dev said that one of the mods was even better than their planned sequel, iirc it was blue planet) best sci fi shooter?! i'll fite you!

Here's a crazy coincidence for you: Freespace was developed by Volition, who is now owned by Deep Silver - the same guys who own TimeSplitters! I guess Deep Silver is where good games go to die.
