We visited Santa Claus, Indiana (Abraham Lincoln grew up nearby, and his mother's grave is kept up) in 2019, but just learned this year that if you write to P.O. Box 1 there by Dec 21, you will get a letter from Santa in return. We are awaiting our own. However, we still haven't received last year's Bella from Makeship and Half-Asleep Chris. They sent her to Australia! Have you done, or will you do, a Makeship plushie of your own?

When I was growing up in the '80s, oranges were a *tiny* bit of a Christmas thing in the U.S., inherited from you all, no doubt. I'm sure it hearkens back to a time when tropical fruit would have been hard enough to come by in Britain, especially in winter, so it was more of a special treat, and well ... in the U.S., Florida is right there, so ... (You'd think Florida would capitalize on it more, but my Floridian husband says he doesn't remember it being so. Mostly the orange industry's message seemed to be "you should drink orange juice for breakfast every day!") My main association of oranges with Christmas is the practice of sticking cloves into them in a nice pattern to make a decoration with a good scent.
