We haven't been to our favourite country park since last November, before Storm Darragh rolled through and ripped the place to shreds. It was a really depressing sight to see :-(

That storm certainly hit a lot harder there than up here. We have had trees down near to me and I have yet to visit Croxteth Country park to see the damage there. It is good to see the park workers clearing away the debris, rather than just leaving it to rot as they seem to do up here.

thanks Alan. the park is well cared for, I have to give the Brecon Beacons credit for that. It's going to cost a fortune and take many years for it to recover though 😞

Devastating walking around there mate. Nice to see the pond has refilled nicely - it was refitted with a new lining a few weeks ago. That strom damage on the trees though is going to take a few months just to clear and make safe I am told. Hopefully the National Parc authorities will have a replanting project sorted once they can fully assess allthe damage. Good to see you back out and getting about and hope the next time you get back there it is looking better. Cracking set of images at the outro. atb Al

thanks Alan. It was lovely seeing the snowdrops. They were almost a metaphor for the park recovering! Everyone I spoke to walking around there was saying the same - deeplyshocqked and saddened at the state 😞

thank you. I was really surprised. I was warned about it but it still came as a shock 😞

Great to see you and the familia, very sad to see what happened to the park, but mother nature will recover. Excellent capture of the birds. Be well and good luck against Coventry today.

The woodland behind my house resembles some of that destruction.

Hey Nick! DEXTER! Mother nature has a way of doing massive damage in minutes, but sadly it can take a lifetime to rejuvenate. Do you have a previous video of you walking through there before the storm hit?

ain't that the truth Steve 😞 there are a few videos on my channel covering park visits

I’ll have to watch it all a little later, but how are your bird feeders, Nick?
@duringthemeanwhilst6 күн бұрын
hi Peter 🙂 they are down our local woods, which also took a hammering during the storm, but thankfully the feeders are absolutely fine - the park is around 20 miles north of here in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons and the wind must have funnelled up the valley before hitting the trees there 😞
