I loved how you fixed a problem in real time. It was a real lesson to add to the wonderful colour effects you showed. Thanks so much.

I always enjoy watching your videos, they are SO THOROUGH!!!! The guidance with regard of how different stitches can shape up differently is extremely helpful ~ THANK YOU!!! Seeing how this heel stitch comes out a bit thicker and smaller than stockinette is GREAT information to know :)

I laid my dad and my cousin to rest this past week. 2 funerals in one week. This, my friend, was a joy and a breath of fresh air. Many thanks Suzanne.💞

Very interesting and we'll explained video. I'm trying to vary my sock heel techniques and particularly interested in two colour heels so you have very comprehensively covered this and I'm going to give it a go in the socks currently under construction. Not finally decide on which technique but that decision can wait until I get there!! Thank you. 😍

Thank you for another very clear tutorial. I have been wondering about continuing the colorwork from the leg onto the heel flap lately and now feel equipped to try this out! Really appreciate the comparison of fabrics at the end too. Thanks again!

Thanks, Suzanne. I’ve been struggling with trapping Color B on the edges. You showed us the method in BC 4, but this video will be easier to find. I so appreciate your videos.

Excellent videos! Is it possible to show us how to do the vertically striped heel-flap, but with the traditional slip-stitch selvedge, rather than with the garter stitch selvedge? I've tried it several different times, and it seems that no matter what I do, I can't manage to make the chain-stitches along the selvedge edge -- those on the right-hand side of the heel-flap, with the RS facing -- uniform. I'm exceedingly frustrated at this point, and would appreciate, and welcome any help. Another video tutorial perhaps? Cheers!

SG, for a heel flap, with the slipped selvedge stitches, I just slip the stitch point to point, on RS and WS rows. They do not need to look tidy, but they should be tight. After I slip the stitch, I tighten the yarn before making the next stitch. This gives nice tight slipped stitches so that you do not have holes when you pick up the gusset stitches later on. Do not worry about them not looking good. as they will not be seen.

I do toe up sock knitting with short row heels. I suppose such nice heels shown above would not work what with the shaping required? Very lovely job.

You can also use these stitch patterns for toes and short row heels. Try it on a swatch.
