John got DQ'ed in this episode, though, so Jake is no longer the only one with a DQ. John never finished the tube race. At 13:48, we see him abandon his tubes and walk to the end. That's why JoeZack and Jake tied for third in that round.

@@tedhateswizards That isn't the same as a DQ. A DQ is when a rule is broken leading to their attempt no longer being valid. For example, last episode where Jake's purple contestant fell off the zipline and his time simply showed "- - -" instead of numbers. In John's case he just did really, really bad. He didn't break any rules.

Good episode, and should mean that next season starts fresh with all new games. That might be the only thing worth keeping an even numbered season for, 8 games means 2 sets of 4 events. Another thought: have you considered having someone randomize the episodes, so you're not watching them in order? Then you have no way of knowing what the events will be.

I’ve been doing the entire time. I’ve sent Jomboy via X a spreadsheet. I’ll make a separate post but Delia tied for 2nd all-time in Slam dunk with 2 other competitors. 1st overall is 10 and 2 competitors share that.

Since they change the obstacles around on different taping days it would be nice to see the best times per layout. I'm glad they tried it for a season, but I think the total points system kills any trades. I still vote for 10 episode seasons: 9 "regular" episodes with guts scoring (300-200-100) and even draft picks that can be traded, then the 10th episode as the crag-off with crag scoring, draft order determined by regular season placement. Rock-paper-scissors in the event of ties.

Naw, trades were dead last season too. The new scoring system I think makes it more interesting, but doesn’t reward wins in the same way. At this point, I’m not sure what they could do to encourage more trades…they lock in with their pick and ride the wave to the end.

This scoring method is definitely the best, as it is the most accurate assessment of overall competitor performance, and there are of course are no stupid ties. I think 9 episodes though is best (of course no stupid Crag Brag), with each person getting 3 first picks, 3rd picks, and 2nd picks randomly (out of a hat), which helps promote trades a bit better than last place gets first pick. I think a couple 'boosters' or whatever Joez suggested is not a terrible idea either, as they might help with trading dud thirds

Disqualifications count as an automatic third place finish regardless of the other placings. Which explains Jon still getting third in Totally Tubular along with Delia's DQ since he did not finish the event. Speaking of Totally Tubular, this was the last episode it gets played. It appears that it was a quick replacement for the Wave Runner event during the taping.

Late to the party but I preferred last season's draft rules where everyone got three of each pick and it was randomized throughout he season. And while I enjoyed the scoring this season, it did seem like previous seasons emphasized the win more and made each episode more important. I thought using the player scores would work out great but in the last season felt better overall.

Scoring suggestion for Season 5. Only give points to the winner of the episode but based on their draft position. So if the 3rd pick wins the episode, they get 3 points. 2nd pick gets 2 points and 1st pick gets 1 point. Might make the end of some episodes boring but should make for some interesting trade proposals.
