I've never really cared for Valentine day. Even in relationships. I think it's just a very consumer holiday and a waste of time. Like why not just show your partner you love them all the time or treat them every now and then. As a society, we've just become to engrossed in these "holidays". Thank you for coming to my ted talk

@@isabel453 while what you say is true. It is indeed nice to come together and do cute things. But I guess it just depends on one's perception. It isn't that "deep" to nor me really. It is what it is. A consumer holiday for profits for company's lol. Is it still a cute holiday for you to do something nice with your SO...yeah! But do it throughout the year and not just one specific day. I guess it's just herd mentality.

The partition on the bench is actually anti-homeless architecture. It's to prevent homeless people from sleeping on benches, similar to how lots of flat spaces outside shops and under bridges have spikes. The introvert in me loves having my own designated space on a bench but the actual purpose of it is big yikes.

It's called "hostile architecture" to stop people sleeping there/ skateboarders doing tricks and people relaxing too much on the benches. Hostile architecture includes things like those metal spikes on the floor of doorways and windowsills that slope so you can't sit/ lean on them. It's horrible but a desperate attempt to push homeless people out of the city centre and into suburbs

Being single isn't even something bad. I've been in relationships, where I didn't really love my partner and that's miserable for you and unfair to them. I don't know why society says that you have to be in a relationship, I've been told before that I need a find a girlfriend, but I love being on my own, so much time for introspection! And you are literally the only person you're going to spend your whole life with. So be happy! Maybe someone will come along and partake in your journey, maybe not. But you shouldn't stress it, if you aren't or never have been in a relationship. To anyone, maybe stressing out about it right now. Enjoy YOURSELF. And sure I'd love to have a family of my own someday. A wife, a few children, but you can't force it anyway.

I love your videos Grace, I really do, but I wanted to comment on your opinion on the bench with the different sections. Of course, you're right it's great to have a little separation from someone you don't know sitting next to you, but actually these are strategic tactics from cities to make life even harder for homeless people. With benches like these, people who are homeless can't lay on them anymore for a nap or something. Additionally to that for people weighing more than "average" - they can't sit down properly anymore (it's called weight stigma). I just wanted to spread awareness :) LOVE your message at the end though, that nobody needs a s.o. for valentine's xxx
