My dad did a killer job. He modeled the chassis in autocad and I 3d printed the prototypes. He then got those files made into carbon fiber. He’s been telling me about ur track for months. So awesome that you were able to run it

That buggy is awesome I like the idea that if you can't get one then make one. Can't wait to see it on the track. Chris should be proud of his work.

Love the custom builds ! Kind of like a restomod in the 1:1 car scene. Vintage stuff with just enough modern touches.

This is pure class. What a great project. I'm sure Chris was delighted when it came together. I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes around the track. I have a real soft spot for an Astute. My friend had one back in the day when I had my GH2 Super G. I was so jealous! It's cool to see someone do what is essentially a restomod. Love it!

Super cool and very clean looking custom build! That could be the Neo Astute!! Very neat and I look forward to seeing it run! I am sure the bit of weight will help it out a little, sometimes the 2wd buggies can be a little too light and skitter and slip around a bit too much!

Cant wait for the Super Astute to come out and I cant get over how its actually well bloody priced!! Nice to not have a car come out thats gonna cost us $800 here in Aus!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. To add to Keith's excellent presentation: The body is from Penguin, decals are MCI, shock towers are Yeah racing stock replacement in carbon. The chassis was drawn up in AutoCAD as a 2D layout. I had Send Cut Send make the chassis in alloy. It was not very time and cost effect to keep making alloy chassis as the design changed. So Wade Skelton help me with my 2D Cad files and made them 3D. Once the design was in 3D it could be converted to and STL file for 3D printing. My son then printed test chassis so I could test fit the design. This was a lot faster and cheaper especially when I had to move something 1 or 2mm. Once I had the finial design in plastic I had it made in alloy to test. Once the testing phase was complete I had Bezerk make the final product which was awesome.
