One of the best memories I have is sitting in the fields by the burial mounds watching the sunrise over Stonehenge summer solstice. Also the mist swirling about so we found it hard to find our tent!!!

Live this so much! We went to a couple if these festivals, including this one. Happy days :-) This was something special that the commercial festivals of today could never re-create.

Great memories of Stonehenge 83,was with friends from.Hastings,sussex.hitchhiked all the way. Saw hawkwind,and Gong. Enjoyed this festival that was free,Glastonbury 86,good,but the free festival was better!!!

84 was my first and last Stonehenge Free Festival, 85 it got squashed by Thatcher , army just after they squashed the Coal mines

Fascinating!! I missed out on this. I had a mate as a kid whose parents were hippies and took him all the free festivals. The closest I came was Glastonbury in 89 which just about still had some credibility about it before it became the corporate monster it is now.

I was there somewhere,or was that another year? (Bit hard to remember, I was of coarse very, very, stoned at the time. : ) Had my first hot knife at Venusian's Trading Post, passed out in my mates bender and set myself alight on a candle. ps anyone notice especially you jonathan that there was no BAD THIBES ,,HELLS ANGELS PARKED UP IN A ROW ..the last year they were there a woman was raped badly and a guy stabbed up bad ..enough was enough the commune got together and fucked them off ..the kids burnt out the car of the big smack dealer ..this fest was the best one and if it made it to 84 it would have had to be a permanent event due to common law ..thats why it was stopped in 84 ..good year

I'm a little confused as this video has the same footage you put on for the Stonehenge 1982 footage you have elsewhere. My belief is that this is 1983 as I was at the 1982 festival and it rained non stop for the full festival. Perhaps you could clarify this. Also you say you have a full 3 hours of video somewhere - any chance of seeing this? Thanks
