Just to help you out a little. Shops usually put on reduced stickers the day before expiration. So the first reduced sticker won’t be a big difference from the original m. However, the next day is when there’s like a 60% discount. That’s because it’s the last chance for it to sell before it expires. Most shops have a specific time where the highest reduced stickers are put on. In Tesco it’s 7pm everyday. You may wanna ask the m&s store u go to
@andyt2k6 жыл бұрын
I used to work at M&S, so this should be an interesting one. Worth noting that the reduced stuff is based on the Sell By and not the Use By date, so things like sandwiches they will be the same day (there's usually sarnies reduced) but on some other things, it will have a gap between those dates. If you want a nice cheap "continental" breakfast, go to a shop with an In Store Bakery, about a hour or so before they close and they should reduced the baked stuff and they'll be fine the next morning. They also reduce things more than once, so depends when you go, will be how much it's reduced by. So it might only go down £1 the first time to get them sold, then towards the end of the night to clear the last bits they'll often reduce a second time

Reason for the security sticker is because M&S experienced a large amount of steak theft a couple of years back. When I worked in my local store over £500 worth was stolen during open hours and they had to reorganise the whole shop so that the steak could be seen from a till at all points of the day.

I have to admit that when I go M&S I usually tend to go for the deals or yellow sticker items. If you were to go to M&S and buy lets say a prawn sandwich (they label it as their "best ever") it will cost you £4.00 (from a London store). For me who earns a decent salary, it is still a crazy price to pay for a sandwich. Overall what makes this a total no go is the fact that all other shops have meal deals usually at £3.00 that give you a snack and drink and the sandwiches are pretty good too.

doremikan22 if you dumpster dive their bins you will find it there,no idea why they don't lower their reductions,so people could have it.

If you catch Aldi on the right day in the right branch they have some real bargains reduced in the chilled stuff sometimes but i don`t think you could find enough for a week. Not here atleast

I hope you head over to the bakery section at some point, they always have reduced stuff there, normally sweets but you know, if you have to eat slightly stale sugar doughnuts for breakfast so be it.
