A woodland struggle at Blean woods

A woodland struggle at Blean woods this morning, poor conditions or just out of practice? I struggle to find any compositions while using the new RF 70 - 200 F/4 L is usm with the #kfconcept #nanox #magnetic #filters

Good to see you back out Lee! Sorry for the late comment on this one. I know you expressed some frustration on this outing, but I really enjoyed that first shot especially. It has that beautiful painterly look to it that I really like. Glad to see you are enjoying your filters. I don't use that brand but very similar magnetic system that I'm very happy with. Great stuff as always palz always a great watch! Hope you and Mrs. Pelling had a wonderful 30th anniversary! Congratulations to you both!

We had a nice evening for our anniversary as we were both working , but very nice thanks mate. Autumn was not as far along here as I have seen elsewhere but I'll jead out again soon, take care mate 👍

Where have you been, nice to see you back, I have been taking images for over 50 years and still struggle in Woodland, Autumn colours probably the best time for me ? I particularly liked the first Image as it had a certain softness about, take care, Colin.

@@sanclewphotographic sorry mate just been snowed under trying to repair , render and paint outside of the house before winter and decorate the hallway which is on going ! Need to get out more as I am losing my eye I think lol 😆

Morning Lee, nice watch. The image at 6:57 for me was one that stood out from you set. Looking at your b roll n stuff it looked a thick canopy and the type of woodland that needs the magic mist to bring it all together. I actually prefer going out in the rain in places like that as i tend to find it adds atmosphere to the woods. Good to see you back out shooting. Atb Al

Thanks Alan . Very nearly just binned this one but wanted something to show for my efforts lol. Was at the woodland 3 or 4 hours and just really struggled , more than normal in woodland ! Thanks for watching mate !

Good to see you back out again, Lee. Woodland can be extremely frustrating to shoot, so I understand where you were coming from. I find my local woodland a struggle as it's largely unmanaged hard to find a subject amongst the chaos, so I don't think you did badly.

Never realised the short form factor of that lens Lee, the side on view you gave really surprised me as to how short it actually is! As for the woodland, well as far as I'm concerned woodland is always a struggle haha, nice work for the first image especially, good vid mate

Hi Mate, i dont usually see any huge difference when i get new glass, but this RF 70 - 200 F/4 is far sharper than my old EF version and it has IS . I was a little unsure of the external zoom of the lens but i am used to it now. One benefit is it fits in a regular slot in the bag as its the same size as the 24-105 lens. Very pleased with it.

We’ve all been there Lee and at least you managed to get outside and enjoy nature , exercise and have an immersive experience (the acorn 😂) That first shot worked. We had some lovely mist yesterday and a beautiful sunrise this morning and the conditions make such a difference. All the best and good to see to see you out 👍🏻

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ! 😆

Thanks Robert, the woodlands around here are all so dense and not really any kind of characterful trees , need to get out a bit more and travel to some new locations i think !

Considering how challenging woodland can be I think you are doing yourself a disservice by calling the images 'average' They both look pretty good to me with the 1st image looking really nice (in my opinion)
