I'm guessing before I watch the VOD. The chat backseats and spoils constantly despite the streamer's wishes to play it blind. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. Rain World has been suffering the Hollow Knight problem, and it's so sad to see.

I adore when games go beyond World vs Player, and have predators hunting other prey, tribes of enemy fighting each other, etc. I find that it really helps the feeling that the world has substance beyond the plot and player. It's such a great part of this game's vibe.

(spoiler free, don't worry) Blud really took that generic tip to "Just stay in Outskirts till you git gud" seriously. Apart from the jokes, looking at the chat took a fat toll on him with a debuff of not paying attention to the game itself. Quite a few in-game tips were missed, and I think that those should be told to Frap next time he streams (unless he drops the game lul). For example...... Frap, if you are reading that, check the timing of 4:27:56, look closer at the yellow guide. He was trying to tell you something. That tip quickly disappeared, but it was shown a few more times later in the stream. While I was trying to remember more missed guides (like forced hibernation tip Frap didn't read from the beginning), I came to the conclusion that you really need to buy a Downpour DLC. Developers realized that it was their fault for not explaining some mechanics to new players and introduced some quick helpful tips which are shown between cycles. Since our streamer is mad at minor spoilers and only relies on in-game guidance, let the game help you just a bit more. It's just painful to watch, but I think I liked it. You really got good at raw skill of maneuvering around the creatures, but I think you need to just stay in empty room for a few minutes and explore what your character really can and can't do. Pay attention to your stance (stand/lay) and how it affects your speed. Why do spears sometimes bounce off the lizards' heads but sometimes impale them? Why do rocks exist if there's already a spear at your disposal? I really liked it when you paid enough attention at 5:37:26 to realize that it was the "round thingy" that pushed you in the water, but why wouldn't you experiment with them in such a cozy room where no beast chases you? Don't expect the game to give good learning opportunities twice. Ok sorry for the rant, that's just an attempt in explaining why did some morons spoil you the game. Try paying more attention, experiment more, and let the chat help you with repeating the tips you might have overlooked/missed/forgotten about. And get the DLC, it's not just additional tips, but a content which size is ~triple~ of the original game.
