In 2020, first I found Garden Answer. Then I found The Impatient Gardener. For that, I am grateful. I started to dabble a bit in the garden in 2019, did a lot of planning and seed starting in the winter and your channels taught me so much and helped me in so many ways! I think my garden and flower arrangements really saved me this year. Thank you so much!

I live in Adelaide South Australia and here our summers are too hot to plant anything so summer is spent dead heading and watering and more watering and our winters are when we plant everything so it has time to establish before our very hot summers!! So our gardening year is all year!! I'd like a quiet winter to sit and watch the garden sleep 🤣

Love you included the in memoriam! Helps make my garden ‘failures’, not a failure but a learning experience.... we ALL have them. And reality is, garden real estate is too precious to keep anything that doesn’t bring you happiness. Thanks for being real, a fellow zone 5 gardener.

My wife an I enjoy your channel. I know you spoke about the pressure of having other people in your garden because you want things to be perfect. So glad I have found your channel! My husband and I built our house 20 years ago! The garden was an after thought until about 5 years ago when a very large silver maple had to be taken down! That one tree started my journey into gardening! The channels like yours, Wisconsin Gardener, and Garden Answer have helped and inspired me in my garden. I have a small almost half acre on a slope and its been a challenge but we are getting there! I am an avid watcher of Laura Garden Answer and that is how I came across your channel as well. I'm also a zone 5 Wisconsin! Thanks again for your inspiration! :)

Well done! I too would recommend winter sewing for newbies. I tried it for the first time last year and had good success. I picked cold tolerant flowers and veggies. Sure I had some failures, but what lived in my garden was such a joy, and I found what I could repeat. I also saved seeds that I can tryout this year. Everyone should give it a try as it is so cost effective --fun to do with kids. Good luck growing, everyone

Thanks Erin. Year in review is a great way to see how your gardens have developed💚🙃 RIP day lilies, not a fan of those. I do have some that are more tolerable to me. Mine is a very newly developing garden. After years of life, work, kids, more work, watching grandchildren I’m finally able to devote time for my over grown garden. It’s slow going, I had to rip out a massive bed of wild raspberry bushes this summer, I’m sure I’ll be dealing with those for years, any way, that’s the area I’m devoting my attention to. Someday I’m hoping my garden will be pleasing to look at. I don’t really have a plan, I just wing it as budget allows. Thanks again for taking us on your gardening journey💚🙃
