That's sooo much better use of (current state) LLM AI than the Rabbit or the Pin. It's actually justified to be a separated device. Thanks for bringing this review, that's a product I'll certainly keep an eye on

Thanks for your comment! And I agree, it's a device to keep an eye on, it's great to see that the company is constantly pushing out new improvements

This MUST be a paid review. I unfortunately ordered HiDock due to this review - and it's literally GARBAGE. First of: The audio is awful - and there is no way to pair it with better audio tools. So who-ever you're calling have a hard time hearing what you're saying. Even on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Secondly: The software is terrible. It can't even transcribe without making time stamps every two seconds. Yes - two seconds! Imagine reading a transcript of a half hour call where there's 900 time codes... So in short: Do avoid! And don't fall for paid advertisement as I did :/

Hi Andreas, I am sorry to hear you are having bad experience. I want to confirm that this review was not paid and I am still using the dock. I just checked through my transcriptions and they are pretty consistent with my conversation so they could be anywhere from few seconds if I say a few words and up to 2-3 minutes at a time if there is a big chunk of conversation. Sometimes it does break a larger conversation into few sections. I wonder if your unit has the latest firmware or if you just have a defective unit? also regarding hard time hearing - are you referring to the main dock speaker or the small ear piece?
@andreasdkАй бұрын
@@A2KMedia Hey - tbh, I'm surprised to hear that it isn't paid. I can't even make a memo without it being breaked into two seconds pieces. I've spoken to support that made it sound like it was normal. They don't even have a function to export a clean transcription without time codes. I've tried quite a few calls and the sound quality is almost unbearable with the (not so small) ear piece - but the main dock speaker is also really, really bad. Maybe it's a defect unit - but even their software is bad. So I kinda doubt it.

does it come with chatGPT or do you need a to link it with your chatGPT account?
@A2KMedia4 күн бұрын
Hey, it works through their end and processes the transcript directly. You don't need the account and you can't do any follow up actions but is useful for the summary options

subscription service for something that alr costs a shit ton of money is crazy
@A2KMedia4 ай бұрын
The subscription service is to receive extra features. The base features you get with the device are already great for most people.

@@A2KMedia fair enough, the price is really steep anyways so it's really a bad image for the company to ask for even more money but who cares, i am not the targeted customer

A few questions I wonder if you can help answer. 1.Do you have to use the earpiece? Can you use for ms teams just using the speaker and a built in microphone? I don’t like the idea of having an earpiece on. 2. Can you connect a mobile phone and make call/record calls ok that? 3. When you press record., does it alert people on the call that you have started recording?
@A2KMedia2 ай бұрын
Hey, answers below: 1. no, you can use loudspeaker. The ear piece is just an option. Loudspeaker is actually better quality too 2. If your phone is able to mount it as a speaker/mic combo - sorry not tested that example 3. there is option to notify, can be enabled in settings

That’s for the reply. Really appreciated. Does it work well at recognising different speakers on teams calls?

9;49 holy S$#tSticks.. there he is again. what an absolute beast... dude nearly needs its own table. Great video :) I really like how they integrated this device with the large language model. I currently transcribe meetings in premiere and then feed it into gpt to give notes which works but takes more time.

Making it a dock with hdmi and everything was a dumb product choice. Adds cost for nothing. Should have just been a simple USB c device

Thank you so very much for your response but yet again no one answers the question. Simply, from what I am understanding, this HIDOCK is merely a place to plug all of my equipment to be "charged." But then why would I plug in my ETHERNET. Remember, I am on a DESK TOP. So if I plug the ETHERNET into it, what do I achieve.
@A2KMedia2 ай бұрын
Hi! I understand your confusion. Let me clarify the functionality of the HDMI and Ethernet ports on the HiDock H1. 1. HDMI Port: This port allows you to connect an external monitor to your setup. When you plug an HDMI cable into the HiDock H1 and the other end into a monitor, you can extend your desktop workspace or mirror your laptop or desktop display on a larger screen. This is particularly useful if you need additional screen real estate for multitasking, presentations, or simply a larger viewing area. 2. Ethernet Port: The Ethernet port provides a wired internet connection. While most desktop computers have built-in Ethernet ports, using the Ethernet port on the HiDock H1 can be beneficial in several scenarios: - Improved Network Stability and Speed: Wired connections are generally more stable and faster compared to Wi-Fi. If you’re experiencing connectivity issues or require a more reliable internet connection, plugging your Ethernet cable into the HiDock H1 can help. - Cable Management: By connecting your Ethernet cable to the HiDock H1, you can reduce the number of cables directly attached to your desktop, leading to a cleaner and more organized workspace. - Single Connection for Multiple Peripherals: If you frequently switch between different laptops or devices, the HiDock H1 allows you to connect all your peripherals (including Ethernet) through a single dock. This means you only need to plug and unplug one cable when changing devices, saving time and hassle. In essence, the HiDock H1 helps you connect multiple devices and improves the functionality of your desktop or laptop setup. I hope this clears up any confusion!

I apologize if I seem stupid but I have two questions. I love the TRANSCRIPTION aspect of this device, but I am confused about the HDMI and ETHERNET ports. What are they used for. I realize that this device acts as an INPUT, but what use is it for HDMI and/or Ethernet port. Thank much.

hey, it is still a dock for your laptop or phone and the AI features are extra. So with this in mind you can have full workstation set-up connected via single cable to the laptop and use the dock with all the features.
