Are you shooting of the shelf with these? Lick n stick I believe is just referring to not needing to use a primer pen. Been building compound arrows for years, just started going down the trad rabbit hole. Ordered a 50pk of these to try, im shooting off the shelf.

Do you hear a loud whistling sound in flight? I have been.
@daviddrakey16864 ай бұрын
I haven't noticed any. I will listen for it next time. I shoot traditional. Maybe if you are shooting compound, that might cause it. Also, I fletched my vanes pretty straight. Nevertheless, when shooting my left bevel Helix broadhead into the target, I notice good spin, deep penetration.

Silent, not even a hiss, true true! I am shooting a 55lb Great Plains Cazador swift recurve, 56" inch I believe. The bow is surprisingly quite. Believe it or not, I don't even use silencers. Hope this helps.

Let me know if you hear anything. I’m not using a compound. I’m shooting with a Das longbow off the shelf.

How well do they shoot off the shelf?
@daviddrakey1686Ай бұрын
Pretty good. I'm happy with them. I would try one out on your shaft and with your own bow to see how they perform before fletching a dozen of expensive arrows.

@@daviddrakey1686 Thank you! I am considering them because the rainy season is coming and I don't want to change to a different rest.

Do the words come off? I hate the writing on them.

Hi John: I just saw your request on 3rivers. I tried rubbing alcohol and Gogone and neither worked.

@@daviddrakey1686 thanks, I love the product but the writing ruins the traditional feel. I still might try some. I was also thinking about buying the trad vanes and trying to shield cut them. I have two dozen arrows that need redone.
@daviddrakey16863 ай бұрын
@@johnauberry1500 I believe these are shield vanes. I would try a 1/2 dozen first if you are going to order them and have someone fletch them. If you are going to fletch them yourself, don't forget that the vanes come with an activator on them from the factory. I don't think you want to compromise it. Give the AAE company a call in Arizona, they helped me when I called.

Omg Dude. I been into archery for two weeks and I worked this out in 5min. -Lightly rub the base of fletch with sand paper to remove the factory film. - use acetone or plumbers clear priming fluid to clean the surface and the arrow. - Apply a small trail of glue along base of arrow. -Use a qtip (ear cleaner stick things) and scrap the middle of qtip across the top of the base to spread the glue evenly and with little mess. It isn't rocket science people, use your brain.

These vanes have a lick and stick application on them for a purpose. It is not meant to be taken off with acetone.
