I once saw a prohibition speakeasy at an old upstate NY lake hotel resort. It was underneath the ballroom, sort of hidden by a fake stairway to the boiler room, but wow, was it ever outfitted with a gorgeous red leather main seating area and the bar shelves had clever doors hidden using mirrors. Not that hard to get to the room but definitely tricky finding where they kept the booze.
