Big thanks for the write up on this upgrade, while i didn't buy the can am upgrade kit I did get the fuel pump and intercooler fan from EVO and this showed me exactly what I had to do, My little black clip on the pump broke as well, those things are fragile, but was able to super glue it back together and it held nicely. thanks again and keep up the great videos

+Brad Cimock if you do it, voids the warranty. But the factory warranty here is only 6 months so meh. It does not void an extended warranty though. It took me probably an hour to do the pump and 40 minutes on the intercooler. 10 minutes to adjust the wastegate. Now having done it / seen this video... Much faster

+Brad Cimock what I'm saying is, if you have an extended warranty - don't even worry about it. The warranty is so short, I wouldn't pay a dealer 5-7 hours of labor when all I had to do was buy a $60 vacuum pump to do it myself

+West27 yes sir, it's honestly brutal acceleration. No lie. I'm on the trails right now.. so videos coming soon. It's a stage 3, and I did get the new tune. I spoke with the owner. The tune was fine, they just needed to adjust boost at the top RPM. He said long periods of hard acceleration in sand was causing higher boost on the top end. Which was fine if you run 100ll race gas. But for 91 they had to fix it. It pulls very hard

Hey brotherman - I am not sure if the kit I installed is the same kit for that model unit. I would contact a company like Evolution Powersports and ask them how to convert a 120hp unit to 172hp properly, so you don't end up catching it on fire!

is there even a difference between the 17 and 18 intercooler? they look identical. all the evo upgrade kits for the 17 say its not necessary to upgrade the intercooler. they have a fan switch instead that does the job.

+Half Benjamin Marshall that's partially true. But to be clear for anyone reading this... The fuel pump and tune isn't all that's required. You still need to adjust the wastegate pressure. As well, if you're running a stock exhaust - you'll want to get the new exhaust pipe as it has a higher flow rate. Upping the boost on the stock exhaust has the potential to increase heat there to levels that could be problematic.

Full Throttle Off Road Yes I did leave a few things out,I have done multiple 17 to 18 conversions at my shop for customer's so the 18 fuel pump, Adjust the crack pressure,I also punch out the cat,and Andy at Pwrtune for the reflash, now if someone wants to go beyond 18 power levels then yes a less restrictive exhaust is a must. But as far as Can Am 17 to 18 kit goes,thats a waste of $$$$
