Warning: If you have a diastasis recti, I recommend you to talk to your doctor on how to start with even easier excersises first. (when your gap is healed, this program is great) :)

A few others have mentioned this but I'm surprised Autumn doesn't mention diastasis recti before starting. If you have a diastasis most of these exercises would make it worse. Definitely check before starting

Riri there are some helpful KZbin videos that show how to check. Best way is to talk to your Dr about it and they can feel for you

lyss222 I have diastasis recti and I can’t do these excercises if I trying I have severe muscle spasm. So freaking 😣 painful

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the video. The first thinng you should avoid if you have diagtasis recti is regular crunches, and new moms usually have that 🤔

Love this workout. I have diastisis and some of these exercises are hard. But i also find that when modified they help a lot. You are a great trainer

I am not a mom, but I REALLY want abs...making it my goal this year. Like other people, I was wondering how many rounds to do. I am doing 21 day fix, and she repeats all her rounds, so I'm going to do it twice!! This with the 10 minute ab fix, whoa!

There are a ton of videos that tell you how to get the abs after birth but usually it's from a trainer who has never actually had a child or one who doesn't disclose the method of childbirth. Thank you for saying you had a c-section, now I know that my efforts are not futile.

4 months ago i had a baby girl! The dr said it was okay for me to begin ab workouts. Out of all the pages out there to help loose the bottom belly flap, i love your videos the best!!! I just started your workouts today, wish me luck to get my old body back :) Thank you for the great videos you gave me loads of motivation!!!

Hey, Autumn! I'm a big fan of 21 Day Fix, and I have four challenge groups based on your program. I'm also helping mommies and others heal their Diastasis Recti. These exercises shown exacerbate that injury, which is all too common. I have a free test group to help these moms and others heal their DR. They get very frustrated when they can't safely perform ab exercises; they all want that 6 pack, but they have to reconnect the rectus abdominus first and foremost. If you know the "rules" of healing that injury, then maybe you can do one for that population (roughly 50% of moms and 15% of non-mommies). I have a couple of videos on my account to help modify your ab workouts for that group.

Thank you for addressing this. I have pelvic prolapse after two kids and absolutely have to avoid crunches because the lifting of head neck and shoulders puts an enormous amount of pressure on the pelvic floor.

You're my heroine. I've had a c section. I'm 10 weeks post partum. I'm working to get back into shape but my sutures are still there. Thank you for this guide. I'm going 80 Day Obsession cleaning up my diet and doing this workout every night before bed.

I did 21 day Fix and i Loved, thanks Autumn. I recommend the program 100% really works. This routine of Abs is awesome, i don't have Baby but I going to try this because the summer is almost here. 💪💪💪💪

I thought crunches are bad for diastasis recti. I’m confused. Should I do these exercise or not?? I get a little bit of coning when I do crunches. Should I keep going?

No man! Dont do it Until She reply if you can do or not. or do the ones that contain NO crunches. (Imho dont do it!) cuz i had such a beautifull belly even nicer than before. In 1 JUST ONE exercise ive ruined everything!!!!! It looksss not good in comparison how it was. just in 1 exercise men can you believe. And the exercisr i did was plank and planking crunch with stability ball. However thrse exercisesalso putload on your abs. If i can save just one person, im happy! Do Diastasis recti exercises girl.. lotof them on the youtube!

Advice to new moms looking to loose the pooch; look up how to check for a diastis recti (space between abdominal muscles provided by: growing a baby!) and exercises you can do to fix it. I love Autumn's exercises because she shows such unique exercises that I don't often see. I would just be sure that whatever exercises you choose to do, you're not pushing your muscles outward. Instead, be sure those abs are being drawn inward (like she suggests with the plank.) :) - Not a pro, but going to physical therapy for this and vaginal issues (which by the way is completely ROUTINE and paid for in France.)

Hi Autumn! I'm just starting 21 Day Fix, but I have a small abdominal separation. Any tips on how to modify the workouts to strengthen my transverse abs instead of making it worse?

I would also like to know the answer to that! I haven't checked myself in awhile but I was also separated quit a bit. I found a few exercises for the separation but I really wasn't getting anywhere with them so I stopped. Now I am solely using Autumns videos, and making progress but worried I might be making the separation worse.

Autumn, I just started the 21 day fix this week! I love your workouts, they are awesome! I am use to HIIT and heavy weight lifting. So, I'm not crazy dripping sweat after the workouts, but I really feel the burn! I also get that good soreness the next day! I just discovered these online videos AND I LOVE THEM!!! I love love love core work, but most importantly leg day(haha)! I do a lot of these moves when I work my core and I enjoyed wearing the way you taught them! I look up to you so much and I love everything you stand for! Thank you for all these videos and explanations! Can't wait to send you my before and after!! xox Angelica

I am so grateful to here Autumn talk about mums, and our bodies after little ones. We all have wonks and wiggles to the mum-journey... (Hell, some of us have massive derailments!? Right?!)... but that's not a health, fitness or beautiful body death-sentence?!... it just means our timelines might be as different as our bodies (and we may have modifications to work through). Our little guys and girls are watching--do we want our little girls to be mum's who take the sidelines after having little ones, and stop taking care of themselves? Or hide under a t-shirt at the beach (or worse, won't go to the beach?). I've only been doing Autumn's 21 day fix for 4 days (we have a little test group going on), and just the little tweaks to portions, and adding her very do-able regime to my day has already carved off 2 lbs, and 2 inches I'm just testing it out on myself as someone who's already pretty fit, and eat well--but clearly the tweaks are making a big difference. Thanks for helping so many amazing mamas get their sexy back Autumn!!!

Is the oblique twist machine good for women. I used it a few times and my waist looks bigger which I don't want.

Muscle often develops before fat burns off. This will temporarily create a bigger waist. Eventually, your new muscle will help you burn off the fat.

Hi i m from india. I am fan of u after seeing your video. I have 3 month's baby with normal delivery. I have some questions/doubts relating to this video. It may questions of some Other mommies. Will u please answer all those questions?? 1) after normal delivery & c sec when can a mommy start this exercises? 2) when should we do this morning or evening 3) how many times we should do this in a day? 4) How many reps is needed? 5) after doing this exercises when can we get shower & meals? 6) shall we do this exercises while belly binding? (Benkung binding) 7) how many days or months it takes to get our real body? 8) after delivery, till how many years/months mommies have chance to get flat tummy through this? 9) may a breastfeeding mommy do this ? & last 10) is it works really?? & I have a personal question plz try to suggest me. I don't know how to explain!! I have leg cramps in bump area while i was pregnant, after delivery it increases a lot. I can't bear this pain😢. Plz give me a solution madam. I hope you reply.

I've had 5 babies.... the youngest is almost 5 now.... LOL! I'm getting back into the routine but most ab workouts are so hard, I need to start slowly and with more comfortable positions for my back. Is it ok to work on abs everyday? Or should I give them a rest day(s)?

I'm surprised that Autumn does not address diastasis recti in this video-- this is a huge problem for 50% of new mommies and all of these exercises Autumn is showing will make the DR and hernias worse...

+Raechelle Huff Wuolle both are medical conditions and need professional treatments. The doctor will tell yu that going on a fitness trip is not advisable.

weder noch 6 months after giving birth you can do the work out. but for me i don't believe after giving birth soon you need to do the work out for your body it takes a month.
