What a treat! Three homes in a row, beautiful garden in the 1st home. It would be a special home to have just for the garden. The last home definatly had some fine deco styling. Thanks so much for the look at what was, is probably destroyed by now. At least you have it recorded and shared the history with everyone now. At the rate there allowing these homes to be destroyed there won't be any left for the future to share. Thanks again for doing such a great job Paul.

All the houses were cute. Last one had a lot of rooms but small. I would have hired someone to move my antique furniture. Loved the pink bathroom. The light fixture in the first one we had in our house growing up. It was brass. Sorry for the kids who had to leave their bikes behind. Looks like they jumped off and left. Liked the first one more. The lots seemed so peaceful out back. When they remove the trees the birds will lose their homes. Birds usually keep their same nests even if they are migratory.

I'm from America with one of the biggest "Wonderlust" hearts. I've gone to many places in this world and I have yet to come to your home land. I get such a fulfilling excitedness from your videos and they full the craving of wanting to understand outside of my own world and my own existance. I will one day move to Europe...and also travel again when the outside is more safe for myself and my son. For now I dream and plan through youtube. Thank you for sharing parts of your world with others in this world. You do such an awesome job...and I've learned so much from you with in videos and you make it exciting which helps me to remeber things...even history that I know we don't hear here. I love seeing the difference in architectural styles. You rock...I even have my mom and 15 year old son watching. We even sit and talk about the different ways we'd set up each room...or pointing out somethings we see that we've owned like specific furniture. We pause the video and look at thungs that are in cabinets too. What I'm trying to say is... you do a great job at doing these homes and everything you put in your video justice and worth the watch and time! Thank you!

Thanks Paul and I enjoyed viewing your explore of the three homes. The first house reminds me of the typical middle class dwellings that I remember as a child living in Adelaide during the 1970s. The second house was most likely built around the 1950s and the third home between the 1940s-1950s, due to some of the older internal fixtures. It is great that you were able to take the time to capture the homes before they demolished.

Good morning Paul,I really liked the idea of the separate toilet, when I come here ,in France they're in a bathroom with the the "bidet "is a feature that I missed but I was lucky to find a house with one in the ensuite,I loved the lovely garden in the first one,and the huge white wardrobe in the second one and the art deco style in the last one ,☹️sad that they probably won't be there much longer ,Paul I enjoyed every bit of this explore ,have a great Sunday,👍👍🤗 from a Frenchy in Australia 🇫🇷🇦🇺

Its sad to see any home getting demolished at this time of house shortages😥. We're putting our home on the market and upsizing, hopefully finding a home just like the first house shown which ticks all the boxes,(not to mention the big gorgeous frangipani at the front) Old homes are by far the best! Cheers for the triple walk through!👌

I love that first house! The landscaping is amazing, just needs some trimming and tiding up. It gives a sense of privacy and serenity. The flat stones on the side of the house by the front door are just beautiful. The gray and pink landing in front of the door is stunning. I love the side widows with the lace curtains by the front door. The floors, (carpet excluded), are so pretty. That bathroom is a dream. I love the toilet closet, wish they were in every home. Some may think the kitchen was small, but to me it was just the right size. I would open the entry to the dining room back up. I love the little side windows. Actually, I loved everything about this first house, except the carpet. It really sucks it's being torn down and most likely yet another cookie cutter home will be built there instead.

If only people wouldn't try to keep up with the Jones or even society, imagine all the original homes we would still have around. Its all about updating, keeping up with the times. I can understand upgrading the electrical, water system etc. But, why change the originality of the homes to just keep up with all the new trends, etc? I want to go back in time when everything was safer, less stressful, easier in so many ways without all this technology. Think I'm crazy. Thats ok. I just find life so much more difficult in so many ways than back in the 70's, let's say. Anyone agree?

Thanks, Paul. As always, a great and interesting find. Your correct description of the separate toilet brought to mind our family home which dad designed and was built in 1955. While not an architect, dad was innovative when he designed the home. A single toilet between the laundry and bathroom with entry from both rooms and a shower room separate from the bathroom. Looking forward to the next find. Cheers, Ken

In an old farmhouse we lived in for 3 years (built in 1900), the toilet was separate from the other part of the bathroom. I guess they called it the "water closet." It's not just unique to your country but it is certainly in some older homes.

I dread to think how many new houses they will squeeze onto that land. Our local council (TTG) used to have strict encumbrances regarding setbacks and garden area in relation to house size, now it’s all gone out the window. Houses (not units or townhouses) built almost touching with no yard/garden space at all. 6 houses going up across the street from us where there was previously 2. The houses all have single garages but driveways not long enough to park in so our previously quiet street will be full of cars once these houses are finished.

@@urbexindigo5164 I love your vids and have recognised a few of the houses you have featured. In 2016 we bought our current home after spending 2 1/2 years trying to find a house to renovate on a large block in the area we were living in (Rostrevor) but we were quickly pushed out of the market by investors who were demolishing and subdividing. We could have bought a house but had nothing left for renovations/extension. We ended up having to move out of the area. I love the bathroom in the first house. Most houses in the states have tub/shower combos but you seem to have a lot of ones with a separate shower. Here the toilet would go where the shower is. I like the drain in the floor of the bathroom, it would make it easier to clean, especially if you have a splasher in the family. I had a house in the 70’s with carpet in the bathroom. Disgusting but fortunately the floor under it was concrete slab so it couldn’t rot.

I hav,nt heard you mention TERRAZZO floors in any of your previous expo,s , your first house is a perfect example of that italian art , in most cases the original home ownership that art of masonry will determine their ethnicity , in their tight knit communities they fully supported and employed each other in their new countries of settlement , in the 1950,s i saw every able bodied member of their family tribe start at sunrise with picks and shovels digging the foundation trenches usually (twice as deep as normal ) men and women all mixed the concrete by hand , most was poured by a chain gang with buckets , saturday was always the big day with dozens of families on the new vacant development site , the elders set up their table of homemade food and kept the youngest kids in check , the days ended with humour and music and grappa at sunset , all contributors got a very solid house built on this same principal , the final statement/ signature of your (lifetime home ) was the TERRAZZO an (amazing craft ) it all comes down to feel of the hand with the trowel in this application ,( no machines here guys) the final polish is with a carborundum stone , few if any of these artisians remain !!!

Wouldn't it be really weird if any of the former owners saw your vid! Very interesting. Sorry to see these homes go to demolition.

I love the door knobs. I hope you found the shutoff valbe for the water. It's in the teens here, my pipes busted so no water for 5 days now & weather too bad for someone to come & fix it. Wasting water is a terrible thing when river beds are drying up all over the world. 🙋♀️💜🇺🇸

Hi. liked all the bungalows. Some lovely furniture left behind they should give them to a charity to sell them. I like the toilet seperate from the bathroom saves having to get someone out of the bath so you can use the loo. You're lucky Urbex I've had worse things flashed at me than a battery light lol. Tfs. :-)

That first house was really nice, a shame it’s being torn down

I always wondered about the toilets, I have seen it in other countries too. My great grandparents didn’t have a bathroom or toilet. Outhouse and bath in a bucket in the kitchen. Working farm. They finally got electricity in the 1970s. Guess who didn’t to stay the weekend. 🤚outhouse creeped me out!

We had an outdoor dunny (Aussie slang for outhouse) built down the back of the yard out of fibro-cement sheeting. It was used until the sewer was installed in the 1970s (I think). I hated going out in the dark, even with a torch, as I am petrified of spiders!! Remember everything horrible about it and, even though I love old houses, I certainly don’t miss that piece of architecture!!!

Old houses have so much character! Such a shame that 3 more are being knocked down.
