My deduction of this 'pigeon poop' home? A landlord owned 10 homes back in the 80s (and beyond?), this being one of them. It came to be in such poor condition that rehabbing it for continued rental became cost prohibited so, it became a storage for evicted tenant's belongings from his other properties plus construction supplies for repairing the viable rentals. How did I do?? LoL

I'm surprised the first place is still standing. Where I live, it would have been torn down as a health hazard due to the pigeon guano and the probabillity of mouse/rat droppings. A shame it was so far gone. It ws difficcut to tell what it might haave been like. The second one was probably a sweet little thing until the fire took it. Thanks for the tours and I hope you have had a Merry Christmas.

Hello Paul trust you had a good Christmas. The first house I just can't believe the amount of stuff left in the house some one must Owen it it's sad so much of the old furniture is left to root. Loved the out lay of this house it must have been a beautiful home in it's day shame there are no photos of it before the fire. In this house there was an orange thing you thought was some kind of timer, well it was a set of kitchen scales the top part where you placed what you were used to measuring was missing . Thanks Anne

I was wondering if you would find that second villa, i know it and its been abandoned way before that calendar says. From what I heard its part of a disputed will that was left unoccupied and then squatters moved in. They were kicked out but someone returned and set fire to it. Such a pity as this style and location alone is worth a million. Well done for finding it.
@urbexindigo51643 жыл бұрын
Hi Gene! :-) Haha you know that second one and you are correct there was some pretty rough type squatters in there with lots of junk and they got kicked out. I reckon they came back to torch it in revenge. They had young kids too. I pulled up at the front when I first saw it about 4 years ago and the guy came out with no shirt on and stood there staring at me haha :-) Filmed it in late 2019

I see the second house has beautiful iron frets. Seen many a home with that old kitchen wall paper, was a very common pattern. The orange clock thing is old scales... not timer. XD Yeah ceiling roses had different patterns. I would say the fire started in the loungeroom cause that had the most soot damage. It went into the hall and seeped into the bedrooms and back rooms.
@rashakawa3 жыл бұрын
It looks like it was used as a storage for maybe apartments or condos. There is way more stuff than can fit that house. It contains all the stuff that would be left over from when someone moves out but in multiple sets. Then there's the kitchen with all the 5gallen buckets (don't know what there called down there). But you've got paint, primer, caulking mascus plus extra sets of windows and molding. It's like an old apartment maintenance storage. I don't know about down there but where I live managers are required by law to hold all the contents of an apartment for 30 days after you have officially moved out. Even the food items as long as it's non-perishable. After that it stairs to do with ever with most throw it away but I have known a few that just held on to it as long as they had room to.

LOL. I couldn’t watch the first part with the pigeon poo everywhere - I had just finished watching a video of a hoarder house loaded with raccoon poo and I think I’d already hit my ick limit for the day! 😂. The second home was so beautiful. You can see how lovely it was before the fire and squatters got hold if it. Just unspeakably sad. The details on the exterior are still intact and I love the iron gingerbread trim and tiling on the veranda floor. Perfect at one time! Thus one tore at my heartstrings.

What a filthy mess the first property was, I was quite surprised that you bothered getting in there, having said that from the outside the property looked to be a really old one and as always such a shame it was allowed to get in the condition it is now in. The second property one wonders with a fire and such a large plot at the back did some one have a plan or was it accidental? Well two properties no one much cared for, alas.

3:00 How To Host A Murder... that don't sound good. XD 8:25 The Act Of Will, by Roberto Assagioli M. D. Weird books to have in a business. Nice pressed tin ceiling in the first home. Looks like the old girl died and the kids took over the home to rent out some rooms or for themselves. Then piled all the stuff they didn't want in some of the rooms, using the rest for storage. Then they too just left the house for dead. Maybe the people who took over the place were hoarders and then used this place because their home was full. 😄 Beautiful big wrought iron gates. Tom Jones Presents, was a good record, my Mum had that one.

I wonder if the smoke damage isn't smoke damage but from an old malfunctioning oil furnace. It can look an awful lot like a fire except for things aren't burnt they're just covered in a blackness. You said you couldn't smell the soot? If that's the case I'd definitely say oil... Unless there is plenty of charrd wood about.

I really need to watch till the end before putting a shoe in my mouth. That last room on the left (just before the larger room) the smoke on the wall coming into the room looked crazy but definitely smoke.

The two old cabinets are beautiful, perhaps a very good deep clean and restoration and they would be able to be used again. The metal trunk would make an ideal coffee table in an industrial style home. The metal gates are beautiful. What happens when developers want to purchase a property and there are no living relatives. What happens to the purchase money.

Oh boy! How much poop can a pigeon poop? 😵💫😫 That looked very much like a hoarders house.
@timareskog24183 жыл бұрын
The 1st house looks to be about 1920's with a partial refurb from the 60's to the 70's with a few items from the 80's. I'm guessing a deceased estate that's stayed in the family and used as a business up until about 2000. The 2nd house obviously had the fire start in the first room you entered in the main part of the house where the entry door had been burnt out.

Bizarre. I have to wonder if the person who lived in the house was a hoarder who got the storage container with the intent of cleaning out the house. But, being unable to accomplish clearing the house, ended up moving what was in the container back into the house, and then ended up just living in the storage container. Just a possibility. It's strange how people can hoard because they want to save things, yet the items end up getting damaged or destroyed because of the size of the hoard.
