@ 14:00 That is a 12 volt accessory plug. You pull it off and can attach two wires (positive and negative) though the bottom of it to a cigarette outlet or such. They came stock starting with the 1985 Honda Big Red 250es.

I had the same scenario happen to me! But instead, my four wheeler was given to me, for helping a fellow neighbor fix his computer! The Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 was sitting underneath the shed for 10 years, all of it is original including the tires! Drained the old gas out (looked like Jell-O), cleaned the carburetor, threw in some new gas and she fired right up! Even the oil looked new! Put some air in the tires, and went for a long trail ride! Done perfectly fine! Can't be the reliability of old school Japanese equipment.

18:27 there is a small hook type piece of metal attached to the handlebars up from the "helmet holder" decal, that Honda put on so you could hang your helmet by the strap there.

There is an oil filter under the circular black cover on the right side of the engine. Three 8 mm bolts to remove the cover to expose the filter. Should be a stainless steel screen insert that goes inside the foam air filter. Pilot jet in the carb is probably partially blocked causing the idle issue. You won't feel the fuel pump run when you turn the key on. It is controlled by a module that must detect spark before delivering power to the pump. The module also reduces the voltage from 12 volts to somewhere between 5 and 7 volts to the pump. So never hook these pumps direct to 12 volts. Greatly reduces the life of the pump. The black box you refered to as the cdi was actually the fuse box. Fan shouldn't run when you turn the key on. That mystery switch may be a bypass to the temp sensor which controls the fan.

The led is your fuel gauge and the plug is your 12v DC accessory with 15amp fuse. The inside of the plug pulls out and there's two screws marked positive and negative you can hook up bare wires to them for light or a radio but never a winch it will pop your fuse or cook your wire harness as it pulls to many amps.

I'm not a fan of just putting lipstick. You painted over existing rust. Didn't at least try and wire brush over the rusted screws. It's more than just a flip to me. There's a reputation involved.
