Absolutely fantastic. All the exposed parts are perfectly smooth and shiny. The paint is suberb. That is no ordinary gold paint my friend. I believe it's a watch making vice used in the actual Rolex factory. You have done a flawless restoration and its worth much, much more now in that condition. Dont sell 🤴🙌

Amazing Work Jim👍 You really outdid your self on this one. Those jaws and anvil look fantastic all polished up like that, it really sets them off against the gold paint. I don't think you devalued the price at all, if anything I think you double it. I'd be keeping this one as a prize to your collection though. Well done on a great project. Keep up the great work.

That's a very cool vice, loving the Gold finish, excellent transformation ! I don't suppose they sell knock-offs of that Rolex in Thailand, just as well as it's a bit heavy for hand luggage ! 😉

I'm not sure. The other one I found had m3 or something on the side and was slightly different , maybe either this is a later version or it could be a knock off .... Wow that's make it even rarer 😂😂thank you for watching

Those tolerances seemed very tight on that vise, were they?

I think it's one of those generic vises like an Olympic , that are well cast but not practical for anything big or anything little , you know ? The odd in the middle size ? So everything looks good as it's not been abused . It winds I'm and out nicely , but the threads are BIG ! There isn't too much rattle on the slide either . It's a light general duty vice I guess .

Nice resto: but did it REALLY destroy the resale value? My ignorance is showing........ this is why I watch Jim - never know Rolex did vices. I picked up a 20 quid Rolex when I was in china- it stopped as soon as I got off the plane: could you fix THAT for me? 😀👍

Paint it red ..... Lol , I got comments on my candle lamp saying I'd destroyed it , devalued it , ruined it ... Should have left it with all the grime and shit on it .... Strangely I can sell a record vise for the same if not more money unpainted !!
