@HPPalmtopTube4 жыл бұрын
Actually, it's not an EEG or ECG machine, it's a scientific polygraph machine. If you pause the video it even says so on top. Not the "polygraph" as used by police, but just a universal scientific instrument that graphs more than one input voltage within a specified frequency band. It's a universal scientific tool that can be used to graph signals coming from electrodes, and thus can be configured to graph signals from the brain, heart and other neural activity from humans or lab animals, or any other sort of source signal that lies within the limits of the machine's inputs. That's why it has some many modules with many buttons and dials. It can be reconfigured into an EEG (electroencephalograph) or an ECG (electrocardiograph) or anything else a university research department or hospital might need. It's much larger and more complex than smaller specialized polygraph machines that are made specifically as EEG, ECG, etc... machines... They were modular to allow for expansion should the user need to graph a large amount of signals at the same time. Although these machines were probably used, as you said, for recording brain waves usually just as a diagnostic tool to see if patients had any unusual brain wave activity that could be due to mental illnesses like epilepsy, narcolepsy, sleep disorders, etc..., and less frequently, to monitor brain waves during the administration of electroconvulsive therapy ;)

Certain floors stairwells were locked for a reason. The first one was if it was a psychiatric or detox ward to prevent the patients from either wandering away or escaping depending upon thier mental capacity. The second was to prevent anyone from wandering into sterile areas by accident like an operating room. That "Toothpick" you guys found in the complimentary bag is actually a combination cutical pusher and nail cleaner. That old tube of toothpaste had the same consistency when it was new, and while alcohol free mouthwash isn't automatically bad, that particular brand tasted like it was colored, and left a Wierd film on your teeth.😝

I thought you were very respectful of the building and the history of it and the people who may have resided therein. I agree it is a terrible thing they have done to leave files of personal information of the patients behind the very least they should have done was shred them or burn them. After working in one of the larger hospitals in NZ for 20yrs in Sterile Supplies, this was an interesting watch. So many things I could say something about too seeing as all departments like this are different including size & what they do etc, the one in your videos a teeny size though, I’d guess they used to buy in a lot of things and didn’t do much real surgical work just from the size alone. One of the large machines in the room you went into may of been a washer of some kind, but hard to tell, but the one next to it where it had the round graph paper, that’s definitely a sterilizer and a steam powered one, I’ve checked those graphs more times than I’d like to count, but even those sterilizers are old, new/current ones are more computerized but they do still run on steam. The package you were trying to see inside of just before you went to the table piled high of syringes, I’m betting it was an Asepto Syringe in it, basically a hand pumped syringe, quite often glass, the pump part was actually on the table with the other syringes, the big red ball, it has a hole you push a syringe onto it, then pump away. Lastly, and I’m probably wrong, but knowing from computers at my work, when they glitched like that, it was more often than not the Refresh Rate needing a reset. Now I’ve filled your brain up with more useless details, thank you for the great videos and for showing respect to the places and people you showcase. Kia Kaha from Aotearoa 😷🇳🇿

The records should have been securely stored, or if sufficient time had passed, destroyed.

Oh my god. All those cabinets and shelves. Be still my heart. EDIT: Even all of those big-ass solid doors would make a great garage overhead storage or workbench.

Breaks my heart to see all these gowns & medical equipment which we so badly NEED in this pandemic, blatently laziness and carelessness leaving peoples files like that how is this even allowed??

5:17 the circular item is known as an Autoclave, it sterilises and cleans medical equipment. The other one is a kind of medical refrigerator.

An amazing place, and there seem to be many in the same condition. I wonder why it was abandoned ? It would be interesting to know if the water damage occured before or after. Also such a shame that all some people want to do, is trash these buildings.

Not a polygraph either a old EKG or EEG ..maybe a electro shock room thus the chairs and head pads or might be for monitoring vitals while under anesthesia

It's crazy that all those syringes are left. I had drug addict patients at work that were so desperate would sneak around the floor and steal them off our carts, and take tourniquets the lab staff had used out of the trash cans.

At 15, the stick is for nails and cuticles. The next thing looks like an emery board for filing nails. The blue cloths are wash cloths or for drying the face after washing.

When a chan gets this big, they don't have time to interact with their viewers. Sad, huh?

I've been to so many places that I don't even believe in that stuff. I believe in spirits and all. But for them to communicate with the otherside(us) is a whole different thing. Sometimes i feel like i hear voices but often times the buildings i go into are so quiet your head starts to play tricks on you. Nevertheless Im still waiting to be grabbed by a spirit!

@@DarkExploration, I'm glad I was wrong. At least you're putting in the effort. Most larger chans can't keep up realistically, unless they have a team. Good on ya then.
