Today we explore a very untouched creepy abandoned hospital. Left behind sometime in the 90s, this building has nearly all of its epuipment left behind to rot. Come along for the journey.

Dark Exploration Films love the vids man, I think the operating room you were in was a physical therapy room the poles on the ceiling could have been for a man lift. Only think that bc of the hydro tanks ect. Just my opinion

I really enjoyed this vid, you took your time and didn't rush through each shot. I would like to see anything where all the furniture, equipment etc is still there (maybe even a horder). Asylums are always great! Thank you and don't blame you for getting a bit freaked out there!

Really enjoy your videos man! I used to sneak into a big abandoned mental institution in north jersey back in the early 2000s. Your vids bring back a lot of memories. No cell phones or digital cameras back then so all I have are a handful of snapshots I took. Cool that you’re documenting these places so well.

A nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 is actually a lot better than it is today. At most hospitals now a day's nurses have between 6-8. At long term care facilities they have anywhere between 15-30...
@laurenbarnett89126 жыл бұрын
Morgan xoxo or more! I’ve seen LTC facilities with like 50 to a nurse with only 1 CNA 😳
@allisonhaer28686 жыл бұрын
I was going to say the same thing. 5 people to one nurse is a GREAT day where I work. The typical day where I work is 10-11 per nurse/CNA.
@aprilleerose5 жыл бұрын
I work in the ER and an EASY day is six patients per nurse and only some days we have a cna or med tech.
@pene91015 жыл бұрын
Morgan xoxo You mean CNA's Right, Nurses don't really take care of the patients/ residents The CNA's do dear!!
@NoKillMemphis5 жыл бұрын
a 5:1 patient ratio is excellent. I've been an RN for 32 years and the best staffing ratio I've ever experienced on a regular hospital floor is 6:1. It is not uncommon to have 12-18 patients. ER and ICU's are generally 2:1 ratio. The thing in the pharmacy you didnt know what was is a carpujet. Back in the 80's and 90's they were used with certain injectable medicatons. A cartridge containing medication with a needle already on it, slide into the thing, You close it up and screw down the plunger, remove the needle cap and give the medication. It was supposed to keep down nurses getting stuck but getting the cartridge out proved to be more hazardous than using a regular syringe. So their use didnt last long. Hospitals back in the 80's-90s had lots and lots of whirlpool tubs. They were used for everything from regular baths to treating bedsores. They were expensive to buy, expensive to maintain, and really didnt provide that much benefit. So they are not seen that often anymore. hope you find this helpful.

Great video, good steady filming. As a nurse, I love the abandoned hospitals. The hydrotherapy tubs had multiple uses, such a debridement for wounds or burns. I saw some syringes, etc., that I used way back when. Thanks very much.

5 patients to 1 nurse! I would have loved to work there. I quit working nursing homes for 3-11 shift I had anywhere from 12 - 16. I felt sorry for them cause I couldn’t give the Quality Care they each needed. 11-7 shift I had anywhere 25-30 patients 😫
@abigailrandall75204 жыл бұрын
I worked an acute rehab wing in a SNF and I had 32 pts when full, with only 2 CNAs. We had PICC lines, feeding tubs, Q4hour pain meds on everyone.

The carpujects (3:30) are a type of syringe. You'd place you vial inside and screw it in with the plunger. Usually used for narcotics. We still use them today.

Love this. Consider getting latex/nitrile gloves, beanie and 1 way vent goggles my friend, to protect yourself especially in the tunnels, from mold spores, other particulates and asbestos. (Good job with the respirator, p100 or 3m yellow label which covers organic vapors as well as particulates) I just started to do this myself when I would be mildly sick for 2 days after some of my explores. We are more fragile than we think.. and a lot of the side effects from exposure to these things can take a long time to finally present themselves. Keep it up but don't forget your self care.

Forgive the spelling. Also saw the O2 tanks, thhe syringes expire after a few years. Likely the hospital was abandoned due to asbestos, glad y'all r wearing masks. Keep up the great work

The things in the bag that looked like syringes are called a Carpuject. It's a little plastic adapter made to work with special small vials of medication designed to work with them. I use them mostly with hydromorphone (dilaudid) and morphine. They're used to this day. I have 4 of them sitting in my nurse stuff bag. It allowed us to inject IV medication without using a needle, so less chance of getting stuck accidentally!

Wow that paranormal experience you had would of been awesome if you had ur camera rolling, and its such a shame you don't believe in the paranormal, maybe if you encounter a few more incidents like you explained your belief system will open up and accept that there is activity which belongs to the other side, I myself have had a couple of experiences and it is very fascinating to be honest, and iam a fan of Ghost Adventures with Zak Bagans and crew, they are great in what they do for sure, its a very exciting subject and lots of evidence out there........ Thank you for sharing that incident and it sounds like residual energy which plays over and over from when someone died........ Laters peeps......
