ABBA - The letters are for each of the 4 member's first names. Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid. The two married couples formed this super popular group in 1971 or 1972 (from Sweden). The dark haired lady was married to the dude with the beard, playing piano. The blonde was married to the dude on guitar. they have had numerous chart topping hits on music charts all around the world. Their songs are so unique from each other. Most groups/bands you can tell their "signature sound" but ABBA were such talented innovators that they dove into all different sounding genres of music. Check out The winner takes it all, Fernando, S.O.S., Does your mother know, Take a chance on me, Mamma Mia & so many more... :-)

Yes I'm binging your videos lol .... ABBA just never gets old. We had all their vinyls growing up. The age of Disco! Saturday Night Fever is great too.

I was an 8 yr old kid in Australia when this came out. We were crazy obsessed over ABBA... the whole country was!! There were 1000s of screaming fans to greet them at the airports and line the streets when they came for a tour 🙃😁

I'm only 22, but I remember in high school we would play this song every time a friend turned 17 lol

Abba used to double and triple record every instrument when recording the songs in the studio and slightly pitch shift them against each other, that's how they got that huge sparkly sound. Their studio recording engineer was a genius and a great match for the talent in the band

Yeah, back in the day....I just finished clearing out a storage locker full of my diaries, etc. Oddly, it's called the "Swedish Death Clean". In my diaries for the 1970's (my 20's) it is clear that "anybody could be that guy". I kind of felt embarrassed at myself before remembering I was learning and owning my own sexuality. Still, I shredded them........

If I'm not mistaken Mamma Mia - movie , came out within the last 5 years and it highlights they're music. Swedish group comprised of two couples who at the time that music came out did not speak English so they sang these songs not knowing what the heck they were singing about at the time.

ABBA and Dancing Queen ... take me back to the days! People used to think they were lightweights and fluff but man, their songs have one of the most intricate melodies and the lyrics are as deep as any. They are both light and dark ... they take you where you want to go and some unexpected places too. What Super Troopers!

I've loved ABBA since the 70s. They played all the time on R &B stations.

Well, music does not have much to do with skin colour (despite the most popular belief systems the last 50 years).
