Martha's entire brand has never ever been about relatability, she built an empire on doing things "better" than most people and teaching others how to do it the way she does. Nobody can ever be Martha Stewart. She is the final boss of bougie food.

@Ms. Robinson Shes had a long string of television shows that she started appearing on in her early thirties i believe maybe in her twenties, she did many different segments about cooking, gardening, decor and diy projects, she was basically THE person for overall home and garden care on American TV for several decades, she was the gold standard, this led to many cobranded product deals, she basically has products in every segment of home and garden as well as the diy market, she also famously went to prison for the wealthy for like 9 months I believe for insider stock trading I think it was for it was a while ago so I cant remember super clearly. I believe she currently hosts a cooking show with Snoop Dogg.

Martha is the real deal. She's never pretended to be something other than she is. She singlehandedly brought homemaking back into vogue. Singlehandedly brought the laundry room as a place to make pleasing, back into vogue, singlehandedly brought the mudroom back. She brought kitchen textiles back to the forefront....as with curtains instead of window treatments. She survived going to jail for something many people do because she was targeted...and came out wearing a handmade shawl that she showed one of her cell mates how to knit!!! New folks making money off of KZbin trashing her is insanely self absorbed. She was a model, a wall street investment banker and then started a mega company for God's sakes.

She had to rationalize the wine bottles and hard liquor beverage intake with that clarifying statement. Point noted on her intake assessment.

One can purchase a greenhouse kit from wayfair.com for a couple hundred dollars.

This is what I picked right at the beggining - as a biochemistry major I had last semester a toxicology lectures and let me tell you -if I lived in USA I would mostly grow my own veggies. The process of making a chemical compound legislatively marked as toxic or harmful is expensive and rather long there. The new fertilisers are usually not very well clinically tested before used and many get banned (at least here in Europe) within few years. So many critical chemicals are still at the USA market. I would not look at veggies there from the nutritional point of view but from the view of toxicity. I am in no way a toxigologist, but we discussed this matter in lectures and I rather clarify it. It's not like "in Europe we don't have fertilisers and chemically treated fruit and veggies" - yes we do, but some that were years ago banned here due to the toxicity are still used in the USA. Take it how you want it, I just felt like maybe Martha knows that too and that might be her 🤷‍♀️ reason

I personally didn’t find Abbey to be very gripe-y, her critiques seem to fit her intro of these videos being strictly for educational and entertainment purposes for the general public. I found the video to have a good balance of humor (aka eye-rolls at the “multi-millionaire” of it all) and offering info to the people watching (such as the difference between grass-fed vs other butter). Her diet and how she describe the food/ingredients is actually pretty comparable to a lot of people in Silicon Valley/ Bay Area. Where people do have black truffle in their pantry. I wouldn’t say Kerrygold is high end. You can get them from Costco. Personally I don’t think her food is “bougie” or that she is flexing it’s just How she prefers to eat. It’s funny the word Boujie originated from Bourgeoisie which means upper middle class not high class. Martha Steward is all about sustainability and her diet reflects that. Marine stewardship has a free app and great info on their site that tell you what seafood to avoid based on mercury and sustainability. I wish her or you would’ve talk more about pastured raised animals. MS is actually more about pastured raised than organic. But it’s just easier to say organic then have to explain pastured raised. She also talks about frozen vegetables quite often in her shows. But she live on a farm, in her case HER fresh veggie IS actually better in all sense. Low carbon footprint, picked fresh. She even makes her compost for her garden. I like her diet! Btw she has a kick ass Mac and cheese recipe that is sooooo good.

I myself love to grow a (part of) the vegetables I eat in my little vegetable plot (it really has a positive effect on my mental health). But there have been a few studies that show that in a lot of places own-grown vegetables don't contain significantly less pesticides even if you don't use them in your garden - a lot of those substances have leeched into the ground from intensive agriculture. So while I like gardening a lot, it's not necessarily a lot healthier to grow your own stuff.

When there’s people who own 30 peacocks for no reason and I can’t even afford to go to the dentist 😂 yikes.

I have nothing against Martha. Also nothing against anyone who wants Botox. But people who pump their face full of that and then eat all “organic” and natural to do the best for their body...it just really confuses me. 🤔

Also, botox is perfectly safe when administered correctly. Weak example tbh

A note on the organic dairy- I went vegan at 16 and am now 22 and weigh within 5 pounds of what I did when I started, but my breasts have shrunk pretty dramatically. Although it's not a scientific experiment in any way, I absolutely think that my change in breast size is directly related to no longer consuming dairy products and it super weirds me out that a food product had had that affect on my body

"If you have some black truffles lying around..." Sure Martha, right next to the beluga caviar. 😂😂😂 And stop, I love my frozen veggies, there's nothing wrong with them. Sorry, I don't have room for a green house on the tiny balcony of my 1 bedroom city apartment. She's so out of touch and classist, I don't know if I should laugh or get mad at this.

@@VHale-yz7hc And you're missing my point, "boo." She can eat oysters for breakfast and exfoliate with diamond dust for all I care, it doesn't give her the right to act superior. She might be richer than people who eat canned vegetables, it doesn't make her a better person.
