(That's also him in The King and I spot.) 11:07 Sterling Holloway voices the Bactine commercial 3:23 Joel Crager voices the Pampers commercial I'm not certain, but I believe that may be Linda Hunt voicing the Era commercial at 2:13, and Ernie Sabella as "Gus" in the Pine Sol commercial at 26:41.

Ah, but in the Pine-Sol ad, who was "Katie the Cleaning Lady"? As for the Comet ad, whose voice sounded like Mr. Thomas' if it wasn't him?

This is why soaps are so addicting because I now want to see what happens on Monday's episode, especially with Jody's painting. Great to see the young Lori Loughlin in her first acting role. The Edge of Night seemed to air in the mornings in some parts of the country and the afternoon as the last soap of the day in other parts of the country. In Chicago, it aired in the mornings at 9:30am similar to Guiding Light in its final decade on CBS.

Too bad Lori couldn’t call on anybody from this show when she needed legal assistance! She and her costars from that so-called sitcom she did after this show was cancelled should’ve been arrested years ago for stealing Webster’s timeslot and getting him bumped down to first-run syndication.

Edge of Night is the show I keep thinking could actually come back and be rebooted. The whole procedural crime/CSI type mysteries are so popular and a new Edge would probably get a big fanbase. (And with that same fantastic theme music, please!)

The ABC version never aired in Minneapolis (even through an affiliation switch in 1979). When its run ended on CBS in 1975, Edge of Night ended for good in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
