The AMA, amerikan medical assn., is somewhat at fault, too, for accenting treating symptoms, as opposed to causes. My dad was a major pill-popper and pill-pusher on top of being a drunk. He ended his own life with a pistol, a bullet to his heart. You may be sure that has caused me great emotional anguish. Some wounds resist healing more than others. My only sister, 9 years my senior, did the same thing years later. She was weaning herself off of Oxy at the time, had been prescribed it for post herpetic neuralgia, a symptom of shingles. She gave up. As a "survivor", my life has been difficult, but I trudge on, now sober for eight years. To anyone reading this, stay away from all dope, tobacco, and alcohol. Sobriety is a gift, don't frig it up, don't take it for granted. Peace out. 😊
