We aren't all murderers, I promise. :) I've been divorced and I never stalked my ex-wife, never hit or brandished a weapon, never threatened her and wouldn't do that. In fact, despite my family and hers vilifying me, I defended her and we had as amicable a divorce as possible. Be cautious but don't put all men into the same boat this this guy. I sense you may be on the younger side (15-24) and haven't yet had a lot of experience. IF that is the case, don't let these shows scare you into thinking the world is a terrible place and that everyone is out to harm you. Don't date a man who doesn't respect you, isn't realistic, has standards and requests that are excessively high or unrealistic or that has cheated on someone in the past as an adult of 22 years old or older. [Look, 15 year old boys aren't mature enough to be great boyfriends and usually cheat unintentionally because they honestly think the head cheerleader is a goddess or because another girl initiates sexual acts that he has never had/done, and the girlfriend doesn't. It only takes one blowjob to make a 15 y/o guy change his mind about who he's dating. This doesn't make it permissible but it is part of the "learning" process that leads you to adulthood. If you find a guy who admits he cheated in his teenage years, but hasn't as a mature adult, think of it like a juvenile offender who went to The Ranch via Dr. Phil's goons and learned his lesson. We are all kids at one time and we all make mistakes that convert to experience and life lessons.]

@American Ajumma You don't have to educate me on the possibilities of dealing with an abuser. I lost a sister to the murderous intentions of her abusive husband in 2000. I have lost other more distant family members due to an abuser boyfriend that a cousin was dating when he decided to shoot everyone in the house, including himself. However, I still say if we ladies love ourselves first, outside of the title of potential roles of wife and mommy, we can find ourselves letting these horrible men into our lives *less.* We all could see my brother-in-law was a piece of shit in the beginning, even I as a child of 12 could see it - why couldn't she? That's not an easy question to ask because it makes it seem like I am blaming my sister, but rather, I am trying to make sense of it. Huge reason is that she was taught a woman is nothing without a man and more or less any man would do. Then once she gets the man, she isn't anything unless she's a mother. He killed her when I was 22. I want my sister back, period, and if I could rewind time there are many things I would do differently , but more than anything I wish I could tell her how valuable she was and how she was more than enough and deserved better. Furthermore, abusers are not all the same. Some kill because they won't let the wife live without them if she tries to leave. That was my brother-in-lawand cousin's boyfriend. Others just want to be free of the wife and the marriage and the responsibility and kill when they feel like they will have to fulfill those responsibilities (like a Chris Watts). Either way, they all are monsters but abusers and family killers are not all the same as to their triggers.

She was beautiful and any man should have seen that and been like you don't need anything. That's a disgusting and manipulative man to tell a woman you need to change your appearance. She should've divorced him and married someone who loved her flaws no matter what.

As tragic and heartbreaking this case is. One of my favorite pieces about it is that they allowed him to finish his term for identity theft and allowed him to return home for a month or so. I guarantee he was so relieved to get out of prison, thinking that they have nothing to send him back since they released him and hadn't charged for murder in all that time. As someone who has been on the wrong side of the justice system many years ago. The day off release is like being born again, accept this time you can remember it. I guarantee he had a list a mile long of what he would do when released. The fact that the allowed that and then arrest again so close to release had to be absolutely spirit crushing. That's only to believe he had a spirit or feelings. He obviously a sociopath, so that might not be relevant. Truly a fine piece of satan's work here on Earth. Such scum words to describe him haven't been thought of. Hopefully he's enjoying the eternal fires of hell.
