I am not at all surprised that some of these young men want to become the very men that saved them. For all of those that are blaming the coach please stop. I'm a Texan that isn't used to cave diving but just cause cave exploring isnt normal for us doesnt mean it's not the normal for thia citizens or tourists. Nature has mind of her own. These young men and their coach now have a bond that will never be broken.

Just watched this on Disney+ tonight It was so inspiring! When the cave divers "got the call to help" with their awkward smiles and glasses it was almost like seeing the Avengers assembling/coming together. A very nerdy group of Avengers. But Avengers nontheless. Everyone who helped, whether they dove a kid out or helped divert the water or even moved a single rock, or carried an air tank up the mountain, are all heroes in my opinion. Every diver, every seal, regardless of country, US, THAI, AUSTRALIA, everyone is a hero! Best documentary Ive seen in awhile.

They are (obviously to me) two of the most courageous and amazingly kind hearted men I have ever witnessed. Beautiful TRUE story. Wow! I was gutted at the end, in a good way. It was just so amazing how huge of a % of life was SAVED vs lost, in that ordeal! So correct me if I am wrong; was it the retired Seal whom passed away- during the retrieval? And I heard another passed away a year after the event from a blood infection? Is that the case? Because two / out of the many who braved it out to save them / is a great statistic. Just tragic still... but incredible that all 13 were saved- many more if you include all of the divers.

After following this situation day by day and feeling all the tension, worry, and fear for the team that all the people on the scene felt, it's really wonderful to have this 'closure'. The international concern and efforts to save them gripped us all, so we almost feel we know these people, as if they were our own families. So much gratitude to all the people who participated, the Navy Seals and especially the one who gave his life for their sakes. I hope this experience will prove to be something that enriches all the lives involved in wonderful & unexpected ways--certainly an ability to feel enormous compassion and care for someone you will never meet would be stronger than ever before. We humans are capable of so much goodness and empathy, we need it more than ever now.

I deeply disliked how the reporter and his crew blatantly ignored the authorities' request to leave the boys and their families alone and instead went to their homes and intruded on their privacy, interrupting their reunions, (apparently) waking one of them up, to ask such vital questions as "How do you feel?"
