I should have listened to my parents and just never have done it, as someone who vaped like every 2 seconds when I was off work or not doing my traditional endurance workouts. It made my lungs so sore and I became short of breath, It had effected my running big time eventually until I quit. Luckily i think it was that I was already highly active enough with running and fast paced walks, so my lungs weren't damaged to a permanent point, everything went back to normal after I quit. But with 2 experiences I had of not being able to breath sufficiently, was a slight scare the first, but especially second time around by having sore lungs included made that occasion horrifying. Im just happy I realized it and am now vape free, im thankful to have only caused temporary swelling and no scarring, and that I'm completely healthy after the 2 years of vaping the way I did.

In a nutshell, it's used to further liquefy and dilute the oil in order to reduce viscosity, and allow the oil to get to the coil (heating element) within the vape cartridge. Without it, or something that works like it, the THC oil would be far too thick.

I went to the hospital for EVALI, which is basically an acute lung injury that made it extremely hard to breathe and made me keep vomiting. I was vaping both nicotine and THC carts HEAVILY in addition to cigarettes joints blunts etc. every day at 17 years. The lung failure from just the nicotine vape doesn’t seem to be the whole story. In my experience the most detrimental to my health was the marijuana cartridges they are HEAVY and probably what caused this girl to get hospitalized- not just “juuling ”

I recently quit vaping after doing it for 4 years. If you have asthma and are sensitive to allergies, it def drys out your throat and irritates your lungs. I would never defend vaping as harmless thing. It’s more of a source of shame, waste of money, and generally just a stupid crutch. Vaping vs smoking being it thc or nicotine, is definitely a safer alternative. The problem is that it’s harder to quit for that reason. You can do it a lot of places that you could never smoke in, it tastes and smells better, and it is way less irritating to my lungs. The problem is that it’s hard to quit because it’s harder to keep track of how much you actually vape. So a pack a day smoke could reduce their cigarettes but a couple every day….a vaper really has no idea. Plus it’s just embarrassing because it looks douchey. There are lots of reasons to quit that don’t involve lying to consumers. People who do it and buy from legit sources already know from experience what the rest of you don’t- there is really no harsh, smoke like aspect to it. Quit because you know your kids are watching. Quit because it’s a waste of money and a source of embarrassment. Quit because you want to be able to use both of your hands and not just the one that’s not holding your vape.

I'm on my 79th day without a vape now 🥳 My voice has also improved. When I vaped I constantly felt sick and since I'm a musician I noticed it affecting my voice. Now it sounds crystal clear! I'm very proud of myself overall.

I am vaping to quit smoking cigarettes. I am 51, been smoking cigarettes since I was 16. I do feel bad for those teens, however, there is dishonesty in exactly WHAT they were vaping.

I smoked juul pods for a year or two straight and never had any issues. It wasnt until i stopping dabbing that i overall felt better lung wise. I still vape and i get my lungs checked and i am so far fine. I am almost 30. Juul got me off of a 10 year cigarette habit. It should only be used to get off of cigarettes....

Vaping* not smoker. Vaping hasn't had studies on what it can actually do to the lungs (apart from relevance injuries of the same lung problems in people who had vaping in common). With smoking cigarettes there's been decades of research and medical studies for a doctor to be confident enough to tell a person to stop smoking. But we aren't quite there yet on the understanding of what vaping does to the lungs. That's kinda what's starting to happen now.

I've been vaping for about a decade now, since before things were even mildly regulated, and vape like a god damned fog machine. I've had absolutely no issues whatsoever, except maybe being thirstier than usual from the slight desiccant effects of the Propylene Glycol. The Vitamin E Acetate additives found in THC oil (both legal and illegal) are the issue here. Not the vape itself.

It’s not a health crisis, people can just have allergic reactions to some things that are in e cigarettes. I’ve been vaping since 2013 and I feel no different to this very day, nor have I ever had any issues from vaping.
