It is difficult to see the ridiculous belief system of a church community specially when you grew up in it. I didn't go to a Scientology church, but I used to go to a church that basically took away people's time from their family and even brainwashed the people into devoting their money into building a church that never gotten built. All went into the pastors' pockets. It was difficult, but I had to leave on my own. I know they physically hold people that join the sea org for one thing and don't let them leave . She questioned where Shelly was at the wedding and they told her she was unauthorized to question that and that's when she started noticing things.
