Hollywood is a greedy company. Disney, Paramount, WarnerBros..etc are greedy companies. People die doing stunts in movies. The environment is harmed when movies use GIGANTIC amounts of water to film scenes under water or to imitate rain, the environment is harmed when movies stage explosions for action sequences. It's all just hypocrites, and you're too dumb to realize that cause you follow celebs like sheep. Mark Ruffalo is a millionaire due to reading what other write on screen, he's gonna make even more millions with this movie, and more millions to GREEDY COMPANIES (movie studious). Government is regulating pfas now. Remember, the government aren't mind readers. People hate regulations as well and get upset every time Big Brother tries to regulate and control things. Which means that major regulatory decisions such as this one, naturally must take years of careful study and review. Everyone hates the police until they're not around. And when they come back, they're blamed for not returning sooner.

Stock price. I haven't seen the film yet but I know the story. When Dupont was taken to court they lost some share price. But because of the clauses in the level of fines kept them from any serious financial punishment. This judgement actually saw their share price rise. Their guilt actually made them stronger. The system is rigged to help the business and not the employee.

PARKERSBURG, WV (not Parkersville). And I am laughing hysterically that DuPont actually released a formal statement claiming to be mindful of their employee's health. My mother worked at the Washington Works plant in Parkersburg, WV from 1989-2008 before she was forced out on disability at the ripe age of 44. She was never given proper protective wear while working in both Teflon and Butacite and when she went out on retirement in '08 she was literally raking C8 into a separate distilling silo so that it would not be put out into the water, covered in it once her shift was finished. Years later, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, thyroid issues, degenerative discs, etc. DuPont is corporate evil at it's highest peak. Disgusting and inhumane.

It is way worse because the PFOA chemical family is only a small list of harmful stuff that we are exposed too. In America, if its not detectable or have immediate impact than it is ok to poison the public. I predict that in 25 years low level radiation from cell phones will be the next big lawsuit (25 years for the victims to have direct evidence). Those harmed the most will be those that have a cell tower near their work or living area. The 5G in some countries is not being adopted for health reasons, although industry will deny. Again the harm is not easily detected, so it is ok to poison others because they won't know.

I don't know if we'll ever see a movie about pollutions from the military industrial complex. Meanwhile, you can always watch this : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX7Sq6yppauoeK8 kzbin.info/www/bejne/maiViKBuiZunn9E kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn2md2qshcahqLs watershedsentinel.ca/articles/the-militarys-carbon-bootprint Keep in mind those numbers still underestimated for obvious reasons. Most of what comes out of Hollywood (also responsible for polluting your brain - air-water-soil) is Big Propaganda and wars and guns being glorified I truly doubt we should hope for any miracles.

Lazy nothing. Teflon was put into more than just the happy pan. Like Ruffalo said, "fabrics, boots", etc. Did you know, that on a daily basis, companies pay the EPA their 10k fine as a cost of doing business? It's cheaper to pay the epa than it is to put a system in place that keeps the land/air clean. This is the power you have when you have elected officials in your pocket and that "too big to fail", business.

I grew up directly across the river from the DuPont plant, in Little Hocking, Ohio. My family drank well water for the first few years, until we got "city water" running through town. My father died of cancer and cancer was detected in my mother's system before she died. I moved from that area in the mid 80's but I'm still terrified about the concentrated amount of C8 that could still be in my system. Thank God for this movie and it's exposure of a greedy, horrendous criminal...DuPont!

Retired from there and my father worked summers while in college to become a dentist. My cousins and family are all affected. Born with rare health conditions and more recently getting severe headaches. We have seen abnormal amounts of albino deer, raccoon, coyotes, rabbits etc living within a mile or two of the plant. Please take this serious my family is dying and I am suffering everyday from this scandal. So many people being lied to. We were told it was safe to drink and breath when it never really was. My grandma doed of blood cancer in her 50s. I could go on and on about the mental impacts in the community. The violent crime rise, the severe disfigurement and heart attacks in my elementary school.
