They can not put a fence up, it would be so dangerous for the horse and guard. If the horse spooks it's straight into the fence, plus it's a public footpath they can not block it permanently with barriers.

this guard is a disaster the lady before him was great but this one he lets them pet the horse and stand inside the box, young dark skinned guard and he just sits and lets them do what they want and once they see one do it they all do it and he sits there and lets them even he let a baby rub the horse he never stopped it it just sat there, if he can't do his job put someone who can hem looks scared of the people and scared to tell them off I guess he dosen't need to do his job The ladies are so much better they are better guards tell the boss to smarten up the ones who do not do their job

I stopped watching these videos,because I could not stand how the horses were bothered. I felt sorry for them,being touched by sooooo many dirty hands. There were several major injuries to visitors caused by the horses just before the rules changed. (All injuries were results of stupid or careless actions by the visitors.) The changes, likely, were more for legal concerns than consideration for the horses.

Certainly mkes you wonder does'nt it? I have a disabled pass for the bathroom, but I would never use it to stand closer to the horse. It's for use when I am in the city shopping and need the bathroom quick, I have Crohn's/ Colitis and had a lot of surgery, it's not a passport to allow me to do what he intends to do. there for one reason only. Some people abuse their disability passes and that is wrong, it makes other people believe every disabled person is like them, entitled. I only use mine for the purpose I have it for, nothing else.

Realizing not everyone can read English, ie the sign. But a white line is pretty universal. This guard is both firm and respectful (and consistent) in making sure the public respects the rules.

Alhamdulillah! I am so happy that they are not allowed to touch the horses anymore. I come from a farm in animals are wonderful creatures but you don't mess with them. The fact that those horses stand there for so long at a time and were allowed to be petted and prodded for so many years is just disgusting. I'm so happy to see that this is being dealt with finally. The pictoral sign is there for that, it's universal. Even little kids know what it means. In another video a child refused to cross the line into the box while being literally dragged in by his narcissistical mother who thought the rules did'nt apply to her, one of the MoD police officers who came out of the gates to see why the guard was repeatedly yelling GET OUT of the box said the child had more sense than his self entitled mother.
