My internet is extremely slow tonight. Love the upgrade... a bit too rich for my blood for right now, anyways. I have several other priorities to work on that have been on the back burner for some while now. After removing PARTriSh's, it was cool to watch you do similar work to Abel. The packaging looked very professional... I was impressed from the start. I also like the look of them installed... very sleek and "boss." Thanks for sharing your experiences once again, my friend!

Hi Sean, very nice video and I am looking very much forward to see your review of the new air ride system. I just dropped off my truck at Acela for a complete overhaul but am not sure if I want the air ride seats which make me sit higher than I feel comfortable at 6’2”. I wonder if your new ride system would allow me to eliminate the air seats and go with fixed seats? What is your opinion on air ride seats, are they a very nice to have option or not really necessary? I originally wanted to install Scheelman seats but with those I would not be able to use the air ride but would sit lower which I would prefer. Would you be able to share where you got the protection rings for the air inflation hoses on the wheel rims? I would love to find 6 of them. Thanks again for all the info you show us on your great channel! Peter

Get the scheelmans and go with this setup. Why would you want air ride seats when you already have an air ride cab? To me it seems silly to do that. Acela does great work. You are in good hands.....

Came out clean. The Ross's did a great job. That bumpstop looks to rest where the A1R cab has the bracket for the cab latch. I wonder if there will be a need to adjust the pressure on-the-fly (sync it to the CTIS ECU? LOL). I can imagine where a fully loaded and gear-heavy cab might use some additional air vs an empty, but my only other airbag experience is with tow vehicles (pickups). If I got the spec right, those are 5k bags and can operate anywhere between 5-100 psi. I wonder what default is on an A0 truck...

Don't A1rs have totally different cab air bag setups anyways???
@chrisurquhart49995 жыл бұрын
@@SeanFillner They are set up rigid with a full delete. The mounting brackets for the bags are missing (the bolt holes are of course there). The "ears" on the back of the cab are deleted as is the floating cross member (replaced by a static brace that goes up from where the "ears" mount to and up form a "V" pattern atop which the cab latch sits, several inches higher than on the A0 trucks). Can they be retrofitted to air ride? You bet they can. Some Sargents with motorpool pull had it done to their trucks). I just need to locate a parts truck and someone reasonable...

Chris Urquhart I was in the Army Reserve till 2001, I never drove or rode in an lmtv but it sounds like the ride would be terrible without an air ride cab.

Sean you have a wealth of Knowledge and upgrades for the FMTVs you need to start linking the products and getting a kickback for it It would help your followers out just have a quick links to the products that you’re reviewing and make you some money on top of it win win.

So how do you like the ride? I heard these setups slew right to left a little..... is that true? My stock airbag blew out...looking at options. Thanks!
@SeanFillner4 жыл бұрын
THis is a great setup although the guys that make it are no longer in business/do not respond anymore?? There is another company out there that made replicas of this setup and can be easily sourced.... I do not know what slew right to left a little means....

Fastidious Restomods Ha... well, I need to probably do my cab bushings before my airbag replacement then. My front left one is missing.... at least the rubber part is missing.

Last I heard they were swamped with back orders and their cnc machine broke down to make matters even worse. I don't think they realized how popular the setups would be.

Just a word of warning about Brandon Ross and his company. I ordered mine in September and it’s now March and i haven’t seen these. He’s strung me along and now I’m waiting on a refund for them. Midwest Military Equipment now sells something similar and shipped same day.
