Follow Abhi for a lap of Barber Motorsports Park on his personal Kramer 690 HKR Evo2 S!
In his words, "my best time of the day was a 1:39 but I didn’t have a camera rolling for that, so here’s a random 1:40 lap so you can hear the Kramer sing. It’s such a fun bike, and it’s teaching me a lot about how to ride better.
I’m definitely stronger on the back half of the course, I look forward to getting more seat time out there and chipping away at my times! Iconic will be back at Barber for AHRMA next year, hope to see you there!
The speedo isn’t reading correctly so ignore that (sorry). I think it’s showing half speed but I’m not 100% sure…"

Just a regular day at work for Abhi. Count me as envious

Haha, I wish it was a regular day! But I can't complain, I feel lucky to be able to do this kind of thing. Hope to see you for the next one at Barber!

Glad you explained the speedo! Seemed way off. I always wondered about this bike and how a thumper felt at revs! Is the lightness great? Does it seem worth the $$$? Love it

The lightness is spectacular, by far my favorite feature about the bike. I have the lower spec "S" model (cheaper, built for track days as opposed to racing) and it weighs 285 pounds. The R weighs 276. It's definitely been worth the money (MSRP on the S is $15,999) as it's unlocked another level of riding for me, it's incredible to have something so purpose-built. With that said, I can see why some people could be frustrated with "only" 80 horsepower, it can get annoying passing someone in a corner just for them to get you on the straightaway over and over again. This Kramer is teaching me a lot about maximizing momentum and corner speeds, I can tell I'm getting faster and improving with it. $16k isn't cheap but it's got excellent components and it's ready to go as soon as you buy it. In addition, the support I've gotten from Kramer USA has been outstanding, the people there are clearly fans of what they do and they've gone out of their way to help me enjoy the bike. I highly recommend them and the bike! Thanks for watching! - Abhi

@@IconicMotorbikes It's obvious you've learned a lot, even the main picture is great, almost elbow down beautiful form. I have an S1000RR and I have tracked it and enjoy it, but it's so fast I can't give it full throttle really, and it is relatively heavy. I'd like to see what a bike that's 150 lbs lighter would feel like! I thought 80hp seems like quite a bit when the bike weighs 285 lbs! I used to race and trackday a Ninja 250 racebike, so I know what you mean about the frustrations of being passed after great corner speed...though on that bike it felt downright dangerous during trackdays due to the speed differential. Might need to sell a couple of motorcycles to get a Kramer track toy!

@@drdpetizo Sounds like we may have a similar background with this kind of thing - I've done track days with bigger bikes and loved the hit on acceleration but the speed was masking my abilities on the other parts of the track. I decided the best thing would be to pick up a small track bike to start with and I got a Ninja 400 that I learned on for a couple of years. I sold it on the auction site after I bought the Kramer because I was so happy with the Kramer that I knew I wouldn't ride the Ninja again, haha. But I did love that little Kawi, it was a great starter track bike for me: iconicmotorbikeauctions.com/auction/no-reserve-2019-kawasaki-ninja-400-track-bike__trashed/

@@IconicMotorbikes Wow that 400 was built! So nice! Do you happen to know what it weighed? Glad to hear you'd prefer a Kramer even at the additional expense. I have thought about the 400RR but think I'd like to have something lighter weight/actual racebike production this time!

@@drdpetizo I never had the chance to put the 400 on a scale, sorry. The 400RR is definitely fun but the Kramer is truly on a different level as it's purpose-built.
