AVANAPPARAMBU MANA SANKARAN NAMBOOTHIRI
A world war is raging. Locals are flocking everywhere to hear the news. Keeping in view the topical importance of the news that is not hot, the Todhikaris of the radio channel have made sure that the selected panchayats of Kerala will be able to know the local people. Preparations are underway for the official inauguration of radio broadcasting in Vadakanchery, Thrissur district.
News broadcast in Malayalam for 10 minutes based on Madras radio station had already started that day. Ahmed Shah Bokaria was the Director General of Radio Operations at that time. The chiefs of the place and others have arrived to attend the grand meeting. Hundreds of people who came to witness the great event were lined up in the hall and Chief of Staff Saip and other dignitaries lined up on the stage. Inaugural Radio
He preached at length about glory. He mentioned that radio may be a wonder and a novelty for many of you in the group. He also spoke that you have got an opportunity to listen to news in Malayalam. Because there were few English speakers, someone narrated a short part of the speech.
Later, one of those who preached was the local advocate Shri. K. N. It was Menon. He said. Radio is not new to us. Two and a half hours west from here, in a house in Kumbalangotu land, there is a Namboothiripadu, which the locals call Radio Thirumeni. He made his own radio about ten or twelve years ago and broadcast it to us. Anyone can now meet him and ask for information.
Some informed the special guest. He returned to Menon with the information and address of the unknown Namboothiripad. He did not have time to visit directly.
He went to Madras and sent a letter to Namboothiripad. There Namboo intends to give Thiripadu a welcome and a warm welcome. The brief of the letter was to come and participate in it. Namboothiripad could not go to Madras due to some rush and the attempt was wasted. Let's take a look at the story of that radio gentleman. Sankaran Namboothiripad (1960-61)
Namboothiripad was born in Avanaparamba Mana, west of Vadakancherry. His father was Namboo Thiripada, a master of linguistics, and his mother was Priyadatta Antharjana. Born into a large joint family at the beginning of the previous century, he was blessed with extraordinary intelligence at an early age. He had only formal education from a Brahmin house before the communal reform. However, through self-effort, English, Sanskrit, Tamil and Hindi were kept aside.
The first great achievement of this article is the attainment of that zeal's unrelenting effort. Mr. K. N. The core of Menon's speech. Being a person who does not want name and fame, Namboothiripad did not go to show it off. Since the press was scarce in those days, only close relatives and friends were content to see it in person. Some people (over 90) who saw it for the first time in their lives are still alive today.
Sankaran Namboothiri's son-in-law (Vadakillat Sobhan Namboothiripad) got married in 1929. Many people who came to it are historical figures
There are eyewitnesses who heard the broadcast on the radio, and some of them recorded it as a miracle in their diaries. That blessed life ended at the age of 61 when he had to depend on the hospital for a few days during his last days.
That natural force had the rare ability to repair any broken machine, not just the radio. The person who was described as a genius by the famous writer Mr. Madamp Kunjikuttan is not counted for repairing the car and the movie projector.

Mr. Pradeep Namboothiri is right. So many people like Aavanapparampu Shankaranarayanan Namboothiri, especially some blacksmiths , people who practiced Ayurveda, automobile mechanics etc passed away without keeping any records of their immense knowledge. Thank you for sharing and thank him for agreeing to share about his grandfather’s knowledge and skills.

പ്രദീപ് നമ്പൂതിരി പറഞ്ഞതിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ തിരുത്ത് ഉണ്ടു - തൃശൂരിൽ രാമദാസ് theatre നിലവിൽ വന്നത് 1970 കളിിൽ ആണ് എന്നാണ് തൃശൂർ ടൗണിൽ അന്ന് താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന എൻ്റെ ഓർമ്മ,അദേഹം ഉദേശിച്ചത് അന്നത്തെ രാമവർമ ,ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ സപ്ന theatre ( ഇപ്പൊൾ അതും നിലവിൽ ഇല്ല,) ആയിരിക്കാൻ ആണ് കൂടുതൽ സാദ്ധ്യത കാരണം 60 വർഷം മുൻപ് അദ്ദേഹം നിര്യാതനായി എന്നും പറഞ്ഞല്ലോ.

ഒരു റേഡിയോ പ്രേമിയായ എനിക്ക് വളരെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. അദ്ദേഹം നിർമിച്ച റേഡിയോയുടെ എന്തെങ്കിലും സാധനങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അതും കൂടി കാണിക്കണമായിരുന്നു.

ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള മഹാന്മാരിൽ ഒരാളെക്കുറിച്ചെങ്കിലും അറിയാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത് മഹാഭാഗ്യം. ഇല്ലത്തടുത്ത് പെലക്കോട്ടു പയ്യൂർ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യ സ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രം ആവണ പ്പറമ്പ് കാരുടെ വകയായിരുന്നു. എൻ്റെ മുത്തശ്ചനാണ് ശാന്തി. വല്യച്ചൻ്റെ ശതാഭിഷേകത്തിൻ്റെ അന്ന് ആവണപ്പറമ്പ് നമ്പൂതിരിപ്പാട് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അച്ഛൻ അദ്ദേഹുമായി സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ എനിക്കും അവിടെ സന്നിഹിതനായിരിക്കാനുള്ള യോഗമുണ്ടായി. എന്തായാലും ഇദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതിലൊരു കാര്യമുണ്ട്. ഒരു പുനർജന്മത്തിൽ താല്പര്യമില്ല. എല്ലാം ആദ്യെ പൂജ്യം മുതൽ തുടങ്ങണ്ടെ. ശംഭോ മഹാദേവ 🙏🙏🙏🙏
