Answers to your questions: The quick cut with Ren in the chair with Kujo kneeling probably shows how Ren felt having Sick Boi being held hostage. The pig head has been said to refer to Animal Farm and in my opinion represents greed. Ren has spoken generically about it but prefers it to be open to interpretation. Knox Hill, who was present with Ren towards the end of this situation remarked that the actors portraying Kujo and girl friend were on point and probably specifically chosen to get under Kujo's skin. Enjoyed the review

Ren uses the pig as sort of a container. In it he puts the dark side of his personality, his sickness but also the failings of humanity. Most of all the pig represents greed which runs through capitalist societies and manifests itself in the pill pushing medical industry and the cutthroat music industry among others. One of Ren's favorite books is Animal Farm by George Orwell. This is where he took the inspiration from.

@@Abigirl_Reacts Turns out Ren's friend Kai looks a lot like Kujo. All he had to do was shave his hair and he fit the role quite well. You can see Kai in Back on 74, in the live retake video he's sitting down playing guitar next to Ren at the start. Not sure who is playing the girlfriend though. Or the choir for that matter. I just know he's certainly licensed the choir samples if he didn't produce them himself…

In Animal Farm, the pigs symbolize the ruling class and intellectual elite who manipulate and control the other animals, representing the working class and general populace. The pigs' betrayal of the revolution's principles illustrates the corrupting influence of power, while the other animals' exploitation highlights themes of inequality and the cyclical nature of oppression in society. Ren throughout his career and music has tried to show the inequalities between the elites and normal people as shown in animal farm as he portrays the elite and in Money Game, Artists are forced to walk the line the corporate music industry dictates and it's great to see he and a very small group of others finally breaking free. Best reaction so far to this track and can't wait for 2 to come out.

"Sick Boy" was also important not just to him but his fan aka the Renegades. Many of us felt that song as if it were our story so that struck him hard. He was very angry because being the voice of the ignored, talked over, misdiagnosed, etc etc. This was more than personal; this felt like defeat. And the worse part of this? The drama happened while he was still in Toronto for his continuous therapy.

I love watching reaction videos to Ren's songs. I've watched literally thousands of reactions from people new to Ren in the year since I was introduced to him, through a reaction video for "Hi Ren" in March of '23. I often dig into the reactor's library to see what else they've published and I'm amused by how often they deeply dive into the Ren Rabbit Hole and both they and their channel become, not just Renagades but, quite literally a Ren tribute site until they have devoured every bit of Ren they can find! That being said, out of all the reaction videos to his music I've watched, you are the ONLY one I've actually subscribed to. Your wit, drama, expressions, and insight are just fantastic and I'm pleased to have found your channel a few days ago!

In this video I interpret the pig as being a general representation of greed and that it goes beyond just Kujo, Kujo is just a pawn in a “money game” which he referenced with the Jimmy and the cookie jar line. Also he acknowledges the choir in which Kujo stole the beat from when he talks about making his songs legally they are massacred around them because they’re also a victim in this situation. Ren is just so incredible and his team do such a great job, his songs & videos are musical onions with so many layers😅

To me, the pig represents people who perpetuate a corrupt system for personal gain or comfort. rather than for the benefit of others. Ren's heavily influenced by writers like George Orwell, so look to the book "Animal Farm" for the mindset. Ren did say in one interview what it meant to him, but I think that was a limited explanation and Ren has a much broader idea of what it represents. He does prefer to leave it up to the audience, so he's usually pretty ambiguous about it. I'm not really sure of the symbolism of Ren tied in the chair. The line he says is "I hope you wake up sweating from your nightmares. See me.", so I think it's just that Kujo will be experiencing the nightmares that Ren has been having.

Ren has refused to say what the pig represents, but it's not his illness, imo. Much more likely it's the medical system he's had to deal with. And greed. Ren discussed the Kujo/Ren switch on his twitch stream after the premiere. I don't recall verbatim what he said, but what I took from it was that it was an acknowledgement that they both feel like victims - that there are 2 sides to it. I don't think anyone minds watching the video twice! Do what you like, we're here for it!

The Dotta referenced in the video is King Dotta, a YT rapper who makes diss tracks about more popular/well known rappers. He went back & forth with Knox Hill a few times and then made a song dissing Ren called Kingdom Come. Ren was in treatment at the time, but took a few minutes to craft a response called Dumb King Come that is classic Ren. Funny, cutting, and ultimately good-natured.

In this case Ren says pig is greed. But he has said it can be his illness as an uncomfortsble companion in his life. It screws everything up for him, but is so familuar that he doesnt kniw who he us without his illness. He doesnt remember what it feels like to be healthy. The switching places says that in any conflict, both sides will feel like victims. He doesnt want to maje Part 2. He want to show confluct resution abd finding a muddle ground. He want to move on.

Great reaction. The choir (dead on "legally") is a reference to the Bulgarian Choir that Kujo sampled for "his" beat. It's always OK. It took me 3 views to get it all. Lyrics, Video, Reassess lyrics. Really enjoying your channel. Unlike the previous battle Ren had with King Dotta, this one is actually about something serious. The repercussions of Kugo's team issuing a Copyright Strike (with no valid claim) could permanently affect Ren's life on KZbin. And taking down the TITLE TRACK of a #1 album is just uncalled for. Ren was in the chair for a blink, representing Sick Boi being enslaved (imho). The Pig represents greed. It's based partially on the Pigs in Animal Farm by George Orwell. The notice at the end is both for protection (proof it's an artistic piece), and for the level of reaction many passionate Renegades had when this first happened. Kujo referred to Ren sicking his fans on him during their correspondence. I think you DO need to watch the Money Game(s). They really cover Ren's feelings on greed and money.

@@Abigirl_Reacts A while back, King Dotta was releasing diss tracks against various rappers (e.g. Knox Hill), going around provoking people and challenging them to battles. At the time, Dotta only had a few hundred subscribers, people were saying he was clout chasing. Naturally, Ren had heard about Dotta's Knox disses, and happened to see a comment from Dotta (I think on one of MichelleShow's reactions) where he was trash talking Ren too, so -- just for the sport of it really -- Ren provoked him into issuing a challenge. They agreed on the terms of a battle. Dotta then duly released a track called Kingdom Come; Ren responded with his own diss Dumb King Come -- but surprised everyone at the very end of the track, in more typical positive Ren fashion, by inviting his fans to check out Dotta's music. Unlike the Kujo situation, though, there was never any real bad blood between them -- it was all just for the fun of the battle. Dotta very gracefully conceded defeat, genuinely enjoyed Ren's diss, and is now a Ren fan -- and gained a lot of fans himself too.

Especially in this and in Sic Boy (the original video) the pig is mostly representing the industry (medical or music) and its associated greed. Ren, in a stream right after this release, said one of his goals for the switch with him in the chair and Kujo looking at him for those few frames was to acknowledge that Kujo might feel like Ren does on the situation.

Angry Ren FTW. We all have that fury inside us, for different reasons. Occasionally it boils over. Seeing it done so artistically is actually beautiful to watch - as you describe it, epic. The pig is greed (specifically, the love of money - described in Money Ties and Money Games Pt1-3, and I'm sure many other Ren songs). Ren in the chair is because Kujo imprisoned/crippled him financially by copyright-striking Sick Boi, as mentioned in the lyrics. Really enjoy watching your reactions!

I think in the switch It represents Kujo tying Rens hands (art), but it was for such a short time before Ren freed himself and came out swinging.

Top Tier reaction, you getting so immersed in the song is so fun to watch! The pig representing his pain is true, and like you pointed out, putting that mask on Kujo was Ren's way of pointing out that just like the rest of the system and other sources of pain that's tried to crush him, Kujo is the current source that he's directing his artwork toward to try and make a real difference. In The Hunger, Ren wasn't directing his anger, he just put the pighead on a wooden stake and made a monster of a track. :) Ren doesn't want to release a Part 2. He's hoping this all ends and things might still be positive at the end of all this. He's still looking forward. However if Kujo or his girl says anything publicly again, Ren will do his thing... :)

I see it as all in his mind, they are a "captive audience" who have to listen to the darker side. Being tied up is how Ren feels with Sick Boi being used as leverage against him, so it's natural to see it in reverse. I still believe if Kujo admitted he was wrong, then bought a fair solution to the table Ren would still help him out of the very deep hole he's in. But before that happens, we need to see part 2. 😉

The pat to the back of the head with the two taps is to symbolize an assassin’s double tap, two rapid fire shots to the back of the head, often to victim either bound like “Kujo” or down on their knees often call execution style. Also the mask to my understand is associated with greed. As they are omnivores they will eat anything.

But then I have watched just about all the different crimes shows like CSI and Bones for nearly 25 years and have though about writing different stories with hit man/assassin characters for several years, but haven’t due to how limiting the true finale for the story is.

So we've all seen a part of Ren we have never seen before ! This wasn't a diss track - it was more like a dismemberment. I feel the pig mask represents corporate greed so it really fits right in here - Ren has been screwed over by the musical and medical industry for years and in many of his songs, he rails against greed in all its forms. If you got back and watch it again, the momentary switch of Ren in the chair with "Kujo" holding him hostage coincides with the lyric "See me, I'm the Sick Boi you enslaved, Free me". Another fantastic reaction - your facial expressions and little giggle made it a joy to watch. Fast becoming one of my favourite reactors.
