Ableton Move as an Audio Interface

Unfortunately, the audio interface only seems to work when in controller mode.

I can confirm that it does work in Standalone mode. I’ve used it to show sets in a zoom meeting through share sound on a Mac

I have not tried it in standalone mode, if you already have ableton hooked up it makes more sense to use that and get more tracks and more devices

@@mastmusician How exactly? If I set my PC audio to Ableton Move, I'm just not getting any sound from the audio out on the Move unless I put it in controller mode. Edit I checked the manual: "Note that sending audio to Move from a computer is not currently supported." This means you cannot use Move currently as a regular audio interface while expecting to get onboard sound out of it. To monitor/capture its sound you need to route it through Ableton and use another audio interface. Or you put it in controller mode to use it as a regular audio interface but then you can only use it as a controller of course.

Sounds like with the new midi sync and standalone audio in, I could hook up another little standalone synth box… no more than one more, but… one more?

that's all I wanted to know. I may get rid of my apc40 :) It seems it jumps a button when selecting the channels (step sequencer buttons)? So can we use the Move to control any synth Ableton has loaded in a channel?

Yup any track, midi or audio can be controlled on the move. And yea they are spaced a bit weird as you add tracks they change. The apc40 is dope but this is so compact and standalone really can’t be beat

Since getting the move I have used ableton less and less! But I still think they included some nice features if you want to use them together
