Nimish Kumar because all Americans (non felons) have the RIGHT to bear arms. We already have laws regarding adjudication for the mentally ill. There is nothing more we could do short of denying people firearms before any kind of evaluation. I had a pro-life crisis pregnancy center change my mind about getting an abortion. Probably one of the most important choices I’ve had to make. 20 years later I can’t imagine what my life would have been like without my son. People volunteering in those centers are amazing. I was 20 and in an abusive relationship when I found I was 11 weeks pregnant. Aborting my baby, wouldn’t of solved any problems in my life.. I’m now 23 with a 2 year old and life is hard mentally, but I do the damn thing because it’s the responsible thing to do. Go to work, provide for you child, wanting or unwanted, raise your kid, don’t have any more if you didn’t want it. But take responsibility for your actions.

The “college kids can’t afford contraception” argument is ridiculous. A lot of student health services give out free condoms, and they cost like $8 for a big box. My college bf was from a very poor background and I was on a fixed income and we always had protection. And I would never have slept with someone who didn’t respect me enough to use a damn condom.

It's all tied back to taking responsibility for ingress in actions. They want the ability to be as casual as possible about using their bodies & if pregnancy pops up, to be able to terminate it. I have 12 siblings and if you add me it’s 13. I’ve been to almost nine ultrasounds and I can tell you that at 20 weeks and even before, there is a baby in there moving around a bit with A HEARTBEAT. Babies are so precious before coming out of the womb and even after. My mom has two miscarriages between child 6 and child 10. It was an early miscarriage but I remember my mom telling me that a lot of blood came out and when she took a shower more blood came out. She had to flush her body of the dead fetus, and it was just so heartbreaking. My mom is a true strong, independent women who was basically a single mom for a long time because my dad was in the military for 19 years. My mom had big dreams but she set them aside because her new dream became being a good mom to her children. My mom can easily be anything she wants but my mom wants to be a good mom rather than someone who owns a company. Any one of these is okay but the feminist movement and pro choice people, radical, made having babies or being a stay at home mom is not ideal or puts us underneath men. It does not. Being able to bring a child into the world is the greatest thing. Once again, my mom is a true genuine, independent, and confident women and mother.

The oldest has obviously developed more than his brother. He can walk, feed himself, put on his shoes with help from some on to tie them, talk, etc... The baby must be fed, carried, dressed, etc... Both are dependent and the baby is still dependent on his mother's body for food. It's only an indicator of their stages of development. When she's saying 6-8 weeks is ok, that breaks my heart because of the experience I had when I was pregnant with my first. I was married & living in Japan and I went to the doctor 5 weeks post conception (7 weeks pregnant). They used a sonogram to check & I was shocked to see he already had a beating heart I could see, little arms and legs that were moving, & he jumped several inches on the screen when the doctor moved the sonogram wand slightly. He was very much alive and aware on even a beginning level. Then I think about if my mother had decided to kill me when I was just a tiny little new life in her womb, not giving me a chance to be & me being robbed of all the beautiful experiences I've had (despite some of the hard ones). The most interesting thing about Biology is that we don't have a simple definition of life although there are a set of criteria that if all are met it is categorically considered a life. Great questions! As developing multicellular organism, the embryo is responding to stimuli all the time. We can define stimuli as something or the environment that brings about a particular response. The example about synthesizing nutrition counts as a stimulus since the cells are responding accordingly such as generating proteins that regulate what passes through the cell membrane. An embryo can respond to touch, light temperature, etc.

And in a hypothetical discussion: What about the man who would find it inconvenient to have to pay child support or drop everything to be a dad? We often hear how having a baby will ruin a young girl's life and an abortion will solve this dilemma. Yet the man has no right to demand his right to raise his child, nor his right to rid himself of the "dilemma". Is this an example of equality of sexes or gender? Obviously not because it puts a limit on the female and that would go against the current societal values. While many feminist activists have no problem limiting the rights of men, they draw the line regarding women. And wait until we start discussing the rights of transgender reproductive rights. But this is just hypothesis. In the real world, where there are differences between men and women, the woman has the full right to her body. And it is wrong that a man (a legitimate father of the child, not some rapist or nut) does not have the right to raise his child. That should be something that is seriously considered. We could muddy the waters with the woman paying child support, etc. but the prime issue should be if one of the two parents wants to take responsibility for their child, they should have some rights. Perhaps the birth mother child support issue would be resolved with her 9 months of body rental (sorry if that is a poorly stated). Of course, reproducing with someone you love and hopefully know well enough can solve much of this to begin with. The down side to any of this is it would never be simple and would probably put the government even deeper into peoples' lives.

I live in Chile. If a pregnancy occurs, the child is embraced. If the father is old enough to be responsible, they get married. If the girl is too young and hasn't finished school, the mom usually steps in and helps care for the child, up to and including playing off the child as hers. Here medical students are united in vowing to never perform abortions. It just goes to show that the European solutions she is touting are not as humane as third world solutions. I do not believe that women "need" to be relieved of their capacity to mother children.

Self control, is saying that the person has a choice to not have sex in the first place. If you don't have sex, then there is no need for condoms and pills, to have them fail. No sex means that there is no chance for pregnancies (unless it is through artificially insemination).

The immoral woman in this scenario just has to practice safe sex or gasp not have sex in the first place to not suffer the consequences of her actions. She was not held at gunpoint (in just about all instances anyway) and forced to have sex. She did it of her own volition and in most cases was just too damned lazy or stupid to use protection. A woman has every opportunity to have her 'choice'. The problem is people of this ideology aren't smart enough to figure out that it's before the act of having sex. That is her time for choice and after that I and many others just don't give a damn about how you feel anymore. If you are adult enough to make the choice to have sex you are more than adult enough to suffer the consequences of your actions. Grow up, start taking responsibility for you actions or stop having sex. It really is that simple.
