Valorie Bauer I'm 61 I also discovered all this knowledge like 10 years ago , which was not handed to me but though people like Tim , my whole life is a new life. God has set this time to reveal himself to us. I just can't get enough of him and how life does change getting to know what had to occur to get us here to this point, I love everyday even if lots of people don't believe. But that's the thing you have to believe and trust God that his son came to save us and the kingdom has arrived by you believing. May you have and receive greater understandings of who God is. Many blessings!!!!!!!

Tim is a excellent example of the image we are to have when representing Jesus Christ living in us , demonstrating the Gratitude that we all should have for all God has done and keeps doing each day we live. I believe when you get to know God you cannot help but to show all your Gratitude , you just shine. Thank you , Tim and project team.

Rose Mary Morin I know that's how they pretend to act. But really they are wolves in Sheep's clothing. Look up the bible project exposed and you will see the truth. They are heretical and teaching the doctrines of demons. The first one I watched was ok I thought. Then a second one made me pause. Then I saw that exposed show and I cannot listen to a word he says now without thinking of the other. Save your soul. Do not heed this man

I enjoy watching Tim speak that he just can't help not showing his emotions as he speaks about God-Jesus that love us so much. I feel the same way , if I just hear the Name Jesus I get emotions just running through me because of what he does for us and we just don't appreciate it. I get emotional because it took me so long to get in the word and get to know Who God really is and how he really loves me and has set this time in my life to really appreciate and love him , each day I feel the change in my heart towards myself and love for others. Thank you Tim ,you and your team have done a great JOB in helping me know and love God-Jesus- the Holy Spirit alive in me. May you all always be blessed and a blessing to us.

Question: how do you know when you're confusing a story with reality?
@alvinlaiman98907 жыл бұрын
Hi Church and hi Tim. Thank you for your great sermon. I've just got a question. How do we relate to the ancient middle-eastern worldviews that the authors of the Bible talk about? There are things that I can easily believe like how temples are the meeting point of heaven and earth which is ultimately expressed in Jesus. But what about other beliefs like how the world is a disc and the sky is a solid dome? I've been struggling with this question for a while now.
@chrisfriesen75657 жыл бұрын
I'm not Tim, but maybe I can share the way I think about it. I've never really had a problem with this particular thing. First of all I don't think those questions are the most important ones. If I picture an ancient Israelite-he dies and goes to be with God, God says: "oh, by the way, the earth is a sphere suspended in empty space." The Israelite says: "wow, that's really cool!" Or maybe he says: "Wow, that helps me understand the bigness of God even more." Because the conceptualisations we have of the vastness of the universe are powerful things. But you know, I find the ancient conceptualisations of the cosmos quite compelling as well, in a different way; they are nearer to my direct experience. I've never been to space-I've seen images of it-but I wake up every morning and i have the sky over my head and the ground under my feet. It's an interesting experiment to try to shed the images you have of the universe and instead put yourself in the shoes of the ancients-standing on a flat disc, the unfathomable depths surrounding it, and the solid dome of the sky above. To me it feels almost cozy; as though it was all made for me personally; it's something that you sometimes catch when you look at the stars-when they feel close enough to touch.

To an extent I understand non-Christianity questioning why practicing Christians live under the authority of the scripture. But what bothers me more is when people who were raised Christian (but don't necessarily follow the teachings of Jesus or the Bible) tell other Christians not to take the Bible so seriously. Anyone else feel me? I hope this comment doesn't seem judgmental, I genuinely feel like I'm being punched in the chest when people say things such as these.

+elizabel - Being "raised" a Christian does not make anybody a Christian. Regardless of how they are raised, if _they_ personally do not accept Christ as their Savior and practice His teachings, they are not Christians, no matter what they call themselves. And the answer to your question can be found in the BIble: 1 Corinthians 1:18 - "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 2:14 - "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Sure, let's ignore the consensus of historians and archaeologists (including the Jewish ones) and pretend the exodus actually happened and the prophets existed. This is why you should never ask a theologist about anything in reality.

If you're looking for misinformation about how the world was formed, the Bible is for you! It comes with 2 contradictory creation accounts, 4 conflicting accounts of the life of Jesus, plus tons of immoral and misogynistic teachings! 4 stars!
@happyraver19587 жыл бұрын
So, you believe because other people from one religion drilled you down with doctrine, not because you investigated it deeply and found good evidence that is in concordance with reality and you did not find any contradictions or fictional characters in the text; no no no no, that's not the reason why you believe. You believe because other people lied to you so many times that the lie started to seem like reality. Then you started investigating what the book says, not the historicity of the events depicted in it nor the veracity of the claims found in the book. As a philosopher, that would have been a great idea, but you failed miserably as a skeptic for the reasons I wrote above. Now you're spewing the same lies that were told to you to other people. And I call them lies because I can; because there is no evidence to confirm such events took place. On the contrary, the vast majority, if not all of the events depicted in Exodus could not have happened, including Noah's flood, the burning bush, splitting of the Red Sea, etcetera. Science has disproven all these fantasies and there are video series that explain in detail, with evidence how all these things didn't happen because they could not have happened. Think for yourselves people, don't be sheep, be humans with dignity and self-respect. Investigate deeply and listen carefully to all the claims, compare the claims with reality and your own experience on this planet. Find the errors, contradictions, misunderstandings and above all, logical fallacies found everywhere in the ancient texts. The Bible should be read like the Illiad and the Odyssey, like Don Quixote, like Harry Potter; as fiction, as a myth, because that's what it is. It has very high literary value like the works of Homer had and like the Koran, but it should never be taken seriously and it should never be considered a guide for anybody's life. And since you're reading Exodus, don't forget to read Exodus 21, where it states how Israelis are supposed to treat their slaves and the rules on how to enslave other Israelis for life; which God sanctions slavery? The God of the Bible and Jesus endorsed it in the sermon of the mount!

Elizabeth Ortiz Okay no one forces someone to listen to Tim or read or study the bible whether you believe the bible to be true or false. As bad as the whole world has been and still is I would rather hear someone or read a positive message than to be a part of the evil that is going on and hearing replies that put someone down. Obviously he has something positive to say that caught your attention , to have so much negative to say against this person, without really knowing what he went through to get to this point, to get him to feel this way. This man has shown so much proof in all he and his team does that requires a lot of time that we haven't put in as for proof. You have proof besides reading Fake story books, I don't even waste my time on those books. But if you have your own channel and time and hard work to present proof about the Bible I'd like to see it. Everyone is free to say whatever but remember it all comes with a price , as when someone becomes a stumbling block to others. No one made you listen to this video but you heard or felt something that was real. Just like you said that we search it or read it for ourselves. Well there is more positives in my searches than negatives. Get your own channel and see how many followers you might get, well maybe many because there is many that think like you, but please keep it in another channel , this channel is for believing Christians , not non- believers , but then again that's how you become a Christian is by listening, and I believe you heard the whole video. May God open the eyes of your understanding. May you be blessed in many ways.

Rose Mary Morin Hello, I am very glad to hear your respectful response. I'm really sorry that my message came across as negative. I did not intend it to be. I am in disagreement with the speaker for the same reasons you are in disagreement with me. The Bible contains a lot of negativity that gets swept under the rug and believers are very good at dodging these arguments which is why I bring them to everybody's attention for the same positive reasons you do: For a better society, better children and a better future for our country. This is a public channel and I'm sure the speaker is glad to hear the controversy as one of his representatives replied to my comment as well. My point is that there are good reasons to believe in anything anybody says based solely on authority as people are expected when reading the Bible. I believe that every claim in the Bible needs to be tested and analyzed individually due to the bad reputation of the Bible covering real-life events. The worldwide flood has been debunked, the creation myth in Genesis has been debunked, the migration in Exodus has been debunked and the misogynistic remarks from Paul in the Epistles plus Jesus' endorsement of slavery in the sermon on the might have led me away from believing much of it. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy some of the proverbs and I especially like the story of Joseph; but that doesn't mean I believe it, I enjoy the books for what they are: mythology. We both have the same freedom to express ourselves here and I am very grateful for that. I do too wish you the very best.

Elizabeth Ortiz Thank you so much for your response and I'm glad that you can comment but like I said no one forces us to watch and listen to any Christian channel and yes, common sense wiill pull you away from the ones that dont sound like what we study , the Bible as it is written, you have to believe it if you are a follower, of course there are bad stories in the Bible just like it is now in real life there are horrible stories . I think , I don't know what was worse then or now it's so scary to live now but the thing is to try to make the world a better place by starting at home dealing with your own family and making sure that you yourself are a good example of a good citizen as a grown-up and starting at home with your children because as I've experienced with my grandson he goes through a lot of bullying at school and he in his little heart he responds like Jesus Christ which he impresses me each and every day cuz his little heart has no hatred even when they are mean of course as he's growing up he doesn't understand why so many children have so much anger and hate but I keep reminding him that we have to be different be like Jesus. We dont know what these children go through at home maybe abused or mistreated in some way because children don't know these things. Jesus says to come to him as a child, as children are innocent .There is the right way to handle these things, we just have to take it day by day trusting that God has overcome all we go through but yes we have to start at home with the good lessons that have been handed down to us not the bad ones but the good news that was given to us and living by it , if I felt like you had a negative comment yes that's the way it came across . Instead maybe you could of tried constructive advice that would of come across lots better. But you probably said it just like you meant it. I kind of understand because at times I feel like no one listens and they keep doing bad instead of good and then wonder why they keep having the same answer or results. Yes, it rains on the good and bad at the same time , but that, we can't control but we can change how we act and respond to others. Yes, I believe the Bible and I think I have a lot of common sense , we are taught to study ourselves approved to God's word , not just listen to any spirit that talks, God gave us the holy spirit , to live and dwell in us , but it seems that no one gives him a chance to lead and guide us to a better way. I tried it and it worked . I will not go back to whatever held me from knowing him , mercy and grace came into my life and my home. God has good intentions for us or I wouldn't be around to see the next day and see the wonderful things that do happen especially in the change of life especially in my life which I've seen happen at my home I thank Jesus Christ each and every day for coming to save us You have a great and blessed life. Remembering , having good intentions in all that we do , especially in loving and praying for others , even when we don't agree. I pray for us all now. In Jesus name . Amen.

Rose Mary Morin I kindly disagree with you on the existence of a deity and of any spirits because the reality we share has no indication of their existence; but I do agree that we need to do the best we can for a better world. I wish I could meet you in person and give you a hug myself because you seem like a good, loving person. Best wishes to you and your grandson. Terrible circumstances to live in, but also a great opportunity to prove himself above his abusers. Best wishes ❤️❤️❤️

You need to take a step back. You can't talk about the authority of the bible until you show that there is a god who inspired it. You have ZERO evidence that god is real. Without evidence for that, the bible is a collection of contradictory legends and myths along with some outdated moral proclamations. You seem to take it as a point of pride that you believe in ridiculous old stories for no good reason. It just looks like gullibility to the rest of us.
