With consistent low temps (-12 to -20) Niagara river will freeze over, does not mean the water stops running. Lake effect snow is a big issue in midwestern ON as well as Buffalo NY and area. A lot of the pictures are of Lake Huron.

Evidence? Which poles have shifted? Are you talking about the Earth’s magnetic poles? Or the rotational poles (which form part of the axis about which the Earth itself rotates)? They are two different things. If you are talking about the latter, I think we would notice the significant loss of daylight, and a corresponding increase in daylight hours in the Southern hemisphere, where it is summer. It’s winter, and this weather, especially the lake effect snow is normal. What’s unusual, but not unprecedented, is the dip in the jet stream that brought snow to the deep southeastern region of the U.S. Of course, some form of this weather might be welcome right now in Southern California, where there are wildfires raging.
