Very recently on A&E, they aired a documentary about Ozzy Osbourne called, the nine lives of Ozzy Osbourne. It's not all glitz. He grew up in poverty and didn't easily fit in. During his career he experienced many tragedies. Some where things out of his control, unfortunately many was his own doing from serious drug and alcohol addiction. He survived it all. I believe he's 70 now. I love this band, like you Abracadabra, they and Led Zeppelin are my top two. I love Ozzy and it would be cool to meet him and enjoy his personality. I think you would enjoy watching it too.

It's funny you said he was 'skating' on the guitar. Tony Iommi (guitarist) lost some of his fingertips in an accident at his job. As a result, he had to develop his own style of playing guitar as he listened and emulated other disabled players like Django Reinhardt. His style is a mixture of compensating for his disability by using different strings and techniques, and as a result he came up with a unique style.

She had a my man what a trip huh? You know I had to learn that song on guitar it was so great you know I basically learned all that stuff but you know what he's doing that part in between from the intro into the segue into the lyrics there's that one part where he's playing at real high register and he's playing octaves it's like you know you have 12 notes once you get to the 12 note you're playing the same note only at higher register and that's what Wes Montgomery always did and it was at signature Jazz technique that he came up with and all the other players did that even Jimi Hendrix did that as well put the thing the guitarist is doing he overdubs and he plays the same lit twice that's what gives it that rich tone so he's doing the lick pretty much the exact same lick but he changes it up a little bit to give it that extra texture and that's what makes Sabbath sounds so smooth man cuz it's so rich and has so much depth cuz of that technique and a lot of the songs on Paranoid have that double overdub with slight variations to give it to that really cool Rich audio tone so like I say man there's a little bit of jazz sprinkled in there you know gives it that full spectrum see my folks grew up with jazz and I wasn't as keen on it although there's like about four or five albums that I just adore it's kind of like country I have like a few that I like but not much but more with jazz but I love Fusion which is a mix of jazz and Rock man I just love that setting where you're at with a green grass and the trees I miss the Midwest man okie dokie mon Capitan I will catch you on the next drop
