I knew nothing about this, and when I brought it and read it, I was impressed and found the story and the art enjoyable. I only wish I could say the same for DK2. What a turd microwaved on high.

Pass on this. Dark Knight Returns will always be for me a standalone masterpiece. No need for sequels, especially with the poor quality of DKII or this master race that by no means deserve an absolute edition.

1:21 I do believe Superman Year One is ALSO set in that world as well. But that's another story for another time... 🤫 I purchased the last printing of this when it was on sale and then had to wait another year to get The Dark Knight in Absolute format after that went out of print and yet another 7 months or so to get it shipped out. Now they are both finally here. 😳 I just need to find the time to read through it all. Interesting that it looks like they removed William Moulton Marston's creator credit for Wonder Woman in the most recent printing. 🧐

The art by Andy Kubert is damn good in Absolute DK3. Miller only draws, I think, three of the six Dark Knight Universe presents short stories between the main story. The story overall is solid, IMO. Not great, not bad just solid. Definitely better than Dark Knight Strikes Again.

Oh I've heard that , this is quite good as compared to dk 2 😢 , and azzarello is fairly reliable to tell a good story , personally I like it when he sticks to crime
