I took on some old pets - they were wonderful- some of my best ever. My 13 year old dog was still teachable. My 15 year old cat lived another 3 1/2 years & was extremely smart and affectionate. They are a shorter time commitment though can require more vet care, as do any animal near end of life.

He at least told her point blank he was not in love with her because there was no spark. Good!!!

Especially when Joan whined Pascal was not in love with her. I really got fed up there because she went on and on about her late husband John and how Chock made her feel safe. Not once did she ever say she was in love with Pascal but he reminded her of John who lived that same lifestyle. That's a side eye if ever anybody can comprehend what she really wanted. Another reason Pascal was not in love with her since who wanted to be compared to someone's late love and didn't want to fake it to impress that person.
