It is pretty much a game ender. A lot of other floodgates are at least situational or hit both players pretty bad. Rivalry does nothing against mono-type decks, TCBO is the opposite, Skill Drain can be played in decks built around but 99% of decks want to Summon as much as possible and Summon Limit severely limits that.

cap has always been (imo) one of the most intelligent and unbiased people in the community. and this video proved it once again. some absolutely stupid decisions were made here but they are overshadowed by big shiny unbans. I hope sooner rather than later players will realize the T0 format got even worse after this. but we shall see how tenpai dragons impact the meta. would be typical konami move to let powercreep do their work instead of hitting the best deck

I play Master Duel. I have a Nemeses deck and a Thunder Dragon deck. Colossus has been power crept like crazy with so many ways around its lock or ways to get rid of it. Diabellstar alone can just get a Subversion and push it to the backrow.

The messed up part is now you can splash it in amy deck. Nemesis corridor recycles your banished stuff and special summons itself from hand, and is thunder. Activating it lets you summon colossus using just that

​​​@@undeadinside3571tbh even tho colossus is really good, I don't think it's really going to do much right now, while yea corridor does exist if you want it to be consistent you have to go out of your way to do a cupid pitch line and with no savage or baronne to go into with that line it becomes way more vulnerable to things like nib, kurikara, ghost bell or hell even the new hand trap. Don't get me wrong still good but your only real protection now is appo or maybe even crossout. But hey if Thundra does come back into meta it's because they can play relatively well under shifter.

@@jpawlus33458 it prevents the opponent from searching the out to it. That's the main thing that makes it broken. If you dont just draw the out, you lose. And you can search corridor with the generic rank 4 combo too now

Update to my previous comment: My friend talked some sense to me and I can admit this is a solid list other than the lack of Fenrir. Baronne was always going to be a go-to boss monster for any deck with access to a Tuner. While the card might not be broken, it is way too common and needed to go just to breathe some diversity into the game. Linkuriboh is the funniest hit to Snake-Eye that they could have done but it does make the deck easier to hit at their choke points. Colossus to one is fine. Just side deck in a Kaiju if your deck relies on searching. Also they did not hit my beloved Fire Kings so I can at least consider that a win.

Honestly Fenrir to 1 would be good and I like Kash (Run it with Destruction Sword for baiting out interruptions and having access to level 7 XYZ with Buster Blader) But you put Fenrir to 1 like in Master Duel and you'll see considerablely much less usage as a splash in. I find it crazy its a 3 in TCG still. Even without Arise Kash is very strong if not stronger for being forced to be more flexible rather than crutching on their boss monster

Now instead of Baronne and Savage they can just go Chen Ying and more Naturia monsters in the extra for beat down strats. Honestly faced super heavy enough in MD it doesn't need Scarecrow to combo, it just makes it super easy. Like Branded Fusion at 3. Is it necessary? Not really Branded can play very well with it at 1. Does it make it easy? Yes. Yes it does.

They didn’t need to hit the fire stuff directly because they completely gutted the end board. Pure SE is now completely unplayable since it now just ends on Flamberge, Amblo, and IP to make either SP or Apollousa and just hope that’s enough.

@@crimsonshadow1477 The Errata is already out. They just have not reprinted the Card. Those things do not happen at the same time. But Erratas are always active everywhere. So IF you where to use the Card now then you have to use the updated Text. But it is still banned. And it makes nothing easier for Judges since you can still play older Versions of already reprinted Cards.

Doubtful. Apollousa is only an issue when you have an omni to protect it. Otherwise it dies to Imperm, TTT, and literally any removal spell. It also usually just represents 1 negate since it’s usually made with 3 materials. Most decks can bait 1 negate and run it over in battle.

I’m not gonna lie this list is hot garbage, does nothing to snake-eyes it basically just hit rouge players like me. Banning linkuriboh does nothing and is in general just stupid and banning Borreload savage is way too late along with Barrone and with so many floodgates gone too Snake-Eyes is gonna run wild on this format with no competition. This doesn’t help the situation if anything it makes it WORSE.

Sure snake eyes is definitely an issue but it will be addressed sooner or later simply to make way for new decks. Hitting cards like barone, savage and summon limit is still a good way to lower the ceiling of the combos overall. So while I wish Snake eyes was hit a bit, I'll take this hit of 2 generic omni negates and a floodgate.

I really like the ideas behind this list, taking away a lot of generic Extra Deck power while bringing back once dominant decks to see if they can compete with the current best without making people who spent thousands on snake eyes regret their purchase. If Konami is committed to making lower powered boss monsters in recent sets or ones with heavier restrictions, banning Savage and Baronne makes sense. These newer cards will not sell that well if people keep using them as vehicles to the same generic end board of easier bosses with better effects. It's a shift in design philosophy. Dont get me twisted. Generic cards arent always bad. Omni negates are not always bad. Generic omni-negates (and generic floodgates) seem to go against what they are trying to accomplish now and it's surprisingly refreshing.

True Draco is way more fun without the Floodgates. Knowing when to use your Trap Cards' secondary effect to Tribute Summon on the opponent's turn to disrupt their plays. I won so many games just by popping Halqifibrax back in the day. It would be nice to get Master Peace back, but honestly I want a retrain of Mariamne the True Dracophoenix. She's supposed to be their mentor or whatever, but her effect doesn't really support the actual deck.

I like the new F&L list but did they just completely forget about Summon sorc? does this mean we'll get another one soon or a special list just to bring her back to the TCG??? also someone already figure out a way to summon colossus in Yubel doing a variation of the regular combo. it's a 2 card package Thunder DragonDark and Hawk. the last card needed is Mature Chronicle (which people said was bad but it has so much utility in the deck). at 3 counters (post LEDE it's very doable even pre LEDE 5+ counters was doable) you banish Dark from the deck Dark searches for Hawk and hawk effect to reborn Dark to make colossus with a Unchained Rage, an escape set, the new rank 10 omni negate with it as the endboard. the Ogdoadic Evol deck is also able to easily pivot to get Protos/Eschatos OR Colossus. they can make Banshee and banshee searches Flag and flag gets either of their boss monsters or Searches Corridor to get Colossus on board. backed by Lars, and the Cosmic Slicer Zer'oll lock.

also pure snake-eyes can potentially still end on a double omni negate. they just play the Evol package which would get them to Lars on the opponents turn. it's obviously not as good as savage or barone since it doesn't protect your combo or force interactions like Baronne did but I think people will play it especially since Evoltile Megachierall can pitch Flameberge from the hand

Tbh, I don’t really see this knocking FIRE decks down much if at all. Hitting Savage/Barrone after reprinting them feels more like sniping rogue options than anything else. I don’t like Kirin in concept and think it should stay banned. I’m interested to see if Colossus does anything, but congrats to Konami for not doing enough to actually slow the game some or at least get rid of the current meta.

Baronne, link and savage and summon limit? Good hits. Link just breaks a lot of things by being able to use them as material or tribute them to summon itself back and the game has been leaning off of generic omnis so I’m glad the two omnis are gone. Colossus and protos back? Why? They’re both terrible for the game and will eventually be broken again if not soon. And no real lasting hits on snake eye is just annoying
