My oldest brother, Diego, passed away two years ago. He had struggled with addiction over 40 years. It took a toll. Finally at the age of 60 his heart and body just shut down. I loved him so much. He was kind and loving but had severe problems. Many wrote him off as a lost cause but i never did. I paid his rent and utilities the last few years he was alive because i didn't want him wandering the streets feeling unloved and unwanted. This song has always meant something to me because i saw this experience first hand. Then one night, in his sleep, that "someone he had not met-not yet" called him to peace.

I’m really sorry to read this about your brother. It’s a sad narrative that is being made that drug addiction is only limited to “bad people” when it’s an illness that sometimes leads good people into bad decisions. I’m thinking of your brother and you for being his angel and caring for him when he needed you the most. ❤Tara da OG
