I have one 5600AB. Exellent

excellent reel once you physically remove the ab mechanism. takes 5 mins. after that you have an outstanding abu 5600c3 reel. Also you can put a cpl of drops of epoxy on the inside to seal up the 2 backlash holes.

ok, great. so how do you remove it to make it a normal reel.

Owned and used many of these,always discarded the anti backlash.

From the way you speak, one would surmise that you're in some way associated with Abu Garcia of Sweden! And if so, then, I wonder why Abu Garcia waited approximately 21 years to Worry about the buyers of Abu Garcia ambassaduer 5501 AB (the Version that came out in the Year 2000)!!
