Thanks Rick! I've been messing around with my jack because it had been ailing abnormally fast recently... I refilled its oil and got the bubbles out from the top, but I had no idea the right way was to force them out the release... Did that and it kept up much longer! I'm still new to jacks, or jack repair at least... Thanks again!

Thanks, I should have watched your video before I tried to fill it myself...I added fluid through the release bolt and after tightening the bolt, one pump blew the rubber fill cap out, I found it after about a 20 min search over 12' away. Going to go try your way now... ;)

haha I hope you video'd the event lol

…it gets worse Rick, once I found the fill cap after its flight and realized I had been filling improperly I deduced the jack must have to be in the up position to fill the chamber because it was full in the down position so I unhitched the return spring, raised the lift arm, added fluid till full, replaced the cap, and to make sure I didn’t send the cap flying again I held the cap down with my thumb as I attempted to push the lift arm down. The arm wouldn’t budge but the jack lever went up so I took the lever off to see if I could pull the piston rod out and possibly release some trapped air. The piston wouldn’t come out so I again tried to push the arm down with my thumb on the fill cap…drum roll…I sent the piston flying along with most of the fluid I had added. I’m not usually this inept in the things I attempt so I don’t make videos for other’s amusement; I hope my recount will suffice. I have the jack together and working after watching your video but I now need to replace the piston O-ring...I'm too old for this ;)...also, I did look for a fill cap when I started but didn't see it because the jack was so dirty; it's my neighbors jack that we were using to replace the outer tie-rod end on his Aerostar.

Do you know what size o-ring it needs? I have same jack and it is leaking at the pump stem. 208 is probably too big

Mine stopped working. Took it apart, and do not even have a rubber piece where you fill the jack up. I have only used the jack twice🤨

Lame. This is like posting a "transmission repair" video and showing yourself pouring Lucas Oil down the filler tube.

Throw out the first 1:15 minutes and drop the last 60 seconds and this would be a good video titled "How to add oil to a jack."

If you are paying 150 for that type of Jack you are getting ripped off because those types a day go for 20-30 at any store I've ever been at.
