Took a trip recently. AC was blowing out warm air on AUTO setting. At my son’s recommendation it put it on outside circulation and that helped for a while but quit again. Next I took it off AUTO, temp on low, fan full blast. Unit worked excellent until it got so cold that I decided to turn the fan down. It was like you turned the AC off. Waited a while and started over. When it got too cold I turned the temp up and the AC continued working. The next day I drove almost all the way back home using that method. Got about 50 miles from home and decided to try the AUTO again. Even on AUTO it worked fine. Any idea what caused the initial problem and would a service be able to reproduce?

i'm curious, i know AC is a sealed system, and it should always have the same amount of refrigerant at all times unless there is a leak. So what is the purpose of "recharging" the system if the leak is still there? I always wondered why people just recharge the system when its supposed to be fully sealed?

Yes ur correct how ever to test and check system u have to recharge and add dye to find leaks but sum customers they just want it recharged also I recommend the ac service every 2-3 years even if ur car as is working and has full refrigeration

I took a 4 hour drive and ac stopped blowing out cold air. My fans aren’t blowing under the hood

I replaced the condenser,did a vac,and half charged the system and the compressor will not run. It HAS power going to the compressor so the fuse/relay is good I checked. So it will not suck any more 134a in to finish the charge. I believe it should.....Add - I can hand turn the clutch with engine off. Is there a stuck low or high pressure switch that would interfere between the power going into the compressor that is good, but maybe clutch is not receiving power. Anything from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Hi my 2016 accord blows cold air at engine idling or while accelerating but when car is at contact speed in city or highway it stops blowing cold air but when I stop it again starts blowing cold air. Compressor and fan bot are working, pressure was also fine what could be the reason?

I hooked up my fan directly to the batter and it spins. I checked the relays with a device and they seem to work. And I turned the compressor with my hand and it spins. But when I turn in my AC the fan doesn’t come on and it doesn’t blow cold air. Do you think it just needs a refill?

All that u checked dosent diagnose nothing u need to swap out relay regardless working only not just change it out check the fuse and see the out come also I would say step 1 check Freon pressure everything come on if there is pressure if no pressure every thing cuts off but I do state start with relay because it’s most common issue anyways check press and change out relay. And get back to me
